I was doing the same in Ukraine since 2003. But then admins forgot about quake, and site was flooded with dota and CS shit. Than the treasure - demos - where corrupted, cause was hosted on a single HDD without backup. Most of my demo collection was from there, but oldest where lost forever. Now they behave like nothing did.
I'd heard that Polosatiy and Unkind sometimes play in OSP, but we newer meet. Possibly cause they prefer other servers. Saw only how they beat moskovians players which skill is well known for me.

I just salvaged a bunch of demos of my own the other day. Should I save the ones that aren't mine? Aren't they backed up on the internet? esr for instance has a bunch of old school demos. Now im not sure if I should keep them or not. Most likely many archives are corrupted tho.

- There is well-known attempt of restoring those demos, but unsuccessfully half of them are dead. They're sorted by numerical folders, and all small archives in a few kilobytes are certainly corrupted.

O, I see You're correctly use "the" article, cause russians are not humans. You cannot trust them any high-tech human technologies, right.

Do you have a list of the missing ones? maybe I can help the collection with mine, but if not then I dont think I can be bothered. Im cleaning up my room and I dont feel spending too much time in this. Im going to shredd a bunch of cds with useless crap on it.

- Still had no time to work on it. But there is hundreds or thousands with 1kb size. If you have demo collections - upload it to maverick's servers. I share all these demos in DC++, it gives ability to compare files by hash, and do not waste time for playing demos with different title names. Yes, demos recorded by different people from GTV may content the same game and they should have different size and hash, but this is non-characteristic case.
