I must admit that was probably the worst qcon I've ever watched

Heck I'd have taken the spinning logo over that grand final. If every other game was bo1 and the gf was at least a bo5 I'd have forgiven them but it never showed at least in my opinion who the better player was since not everybody is truly switched in first map of a series.

They were ashamed of their own product and wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible. Probably also the reason why they didn't host Qcon after 80k people were watching the Bethesda stream in the beginning where they announced Doom eternal.

They didn't want 80k people to see this hobby product and the extremely amateuristic production of the event because it would make people question the quality of Doom and other Bethesda games judging by the shitshow of QC. Too risky to taint the real productions and content that matter to them.

the only reason they used duel is b/c players were asked at the DH tours and they said they wanted both 2v2 and duel. I believe it was gonna be 2v2 only

they don't want people to play duel as they can't be bothered constantly attempting to balance something which can't be balanced.
