can't complain, without carmack creating his new tech, doom 2016 would'nt run at 200FPS, just by putting the texture cache which is limited by SATA 3 speeds of 6GB/s into physical ram with a minimum of 23GB/s which can handle 10,000 DDS textures for each frame into the graphic's card GDDR
idtech virtual texture cache is just an extension of GDDR but stored in physical RAM, so the card does'nt have to render the texture again, if it has been deleted from VRAM
