This game captures the feeling of a Quake game right. It felt like a Quake game when I started playing Netcode seems fine to me, people talk about how you get shot going in to a portal and death showing before you went in, but even Quake Live had that feeling Whether you believe it or not, QC will have less of a chance to survive than it currently does if you take away abilities. I love them.

I think that this game has the potential to be a lot more competitive than previous Quakes where in those versions the smallest mistake could be unforgiving and make it hard to work your way back into the game. In Quake Champions even if your opponent has played his game perfectly you always have an opportunity to make a play with an ability, which is why I personally love it.

Currently, we have a good Champion Pool, every character is very distinct and original, they're all very well designed and their skins too. Balance is something that have been getting better and better with time. About modes, I'm very happy with the current modes we have in game right now. To be fair, the netcode is actually better than most successful FPS in the market right now, and the performance is improving more and more every patch.

Every time I play QC I'm reminded of the technical marvel that this game is. It literally runs perfectly at all times, the netcode is smooth and seamless and never fails, the hit reg is pixel perfect even at the worst of ping and highest of movement speeds. The engineers and programmers are truly God's Gift to the gaming industry, surely with ability prowess as masterful as them they should be working on secret government projects. Anyway back to the game, the balance is always perfect, the champions and weapons come together to give you a myriad of perfectly equal yet skillful combinations so you always can meet the challenges ahead. All combat interactions are so viscerally satisfying so much so that Im compelled to spend thousands of dollars on the lootboxes which heavily reward the consumer at all times.

In all seriousness, netcode is really good, I am from germany and I can play without problems in Virgina or Ohio servers ... this is something I thought would never be possible for fps like Quake ... the netcode really has really become much better since qw/q2.
You even see a programer like Garpy from the UK play with Dooi on NA servers

I tried to set it up properly.... no displayrefreshrate, no raw mouse input option, no bind spam options
ok then lets try out duel... aw man I have to get to lvl 10 for duel... so I have to play FFA/TDM :(

after some games I finally got into duel.

A new map to me :/ ok its better than nothing.
Next game aw man another new map to me but im a 24h ztn player!!! FU I quit next FU I quit again due to map.
Finally got ztn and won easily. I died 1 or 2 times due abilities -.- without abilities it would be 9-0

I learned abilities are like a super power weapon. Very similar to a BFG but some less and some even more powerful. Unfortunaley you can use some at the same time as you shoot (eg keel nades) so you cant time your dodges. Abilities destroy so many basics of quake stone, paper, scissor mechanics its ridiculous.

the visibility of enemies is really a disaster. i need to strain my eyes very hard to see enemies that usually use fucked up shaders that blend into environment. You cannot force brightskins and thats good bye to the game for me.

basicly you have to lover render scale to 50-60 and you get a much thicker enemy ouitline + now you can set it to bright yellow and it is much easier to see.

i was always defending playing on native resolution, but to get that outline thickness, i went from 2160x1440 to 1280x720 and render scale 100% and i get a decend clean picture and a thicker border around enemy.

I played some games today to see what slipgate is. Slipgate is like ctf + ca combined. Attack/defend in a round system. Just an unnecessary gamemode which nobody asked for (and thats the reason we got it xD)

btw I was wondering many times why I am so stupid to not know my weapons & ammunition... its on the wrong side (right instead of left) xD
