Yeah, me and I guess a lot of other people have been waiting a long time for a proper re-issue of the legendary 3.0 and/or WMO mice.
I've been asking around here via PM and approached people in discord and Reddit threads to make me a custom 3.0 with a modern sensor (3366/89) but nobody was up the job and the ones who were asked a huge sum on the project so I kinda turned away from it.
But apart from latter I still want to state that the 3.0 shape has been the best shape for me out of all mice I've tried in the past. I always feel that gentle slope missing in my palm with other mice which made it feel so ergonomic and 'logical' to my tracking ability in whatever game I was playing with it. In my opinion they found the perfect balance and lucked out on a sensor that has proved itself to be legendary and able to withstand the test of time. I still grab it sometimes and plug it in and I feel sad if I have to plug it out again (because drivers and 400 dpi @ desktop). With these issues out the door I think there's not much left for me to desire from this re-issue other than the wish that they make it slightly lighter and use good switches that don't fail.
It looks like they finally got some sense @ MS R&D headquarters. Guess stumbled upon some threads on some forums, including ESR or got approached and informed and they finally pushed the envelope. I guess we have ourselfs and e-sports to thank for that.
Until we get to know the exact weight of this thing and in which way the sensor is implemented i wouldn't pre-order it. This could be a 135 gram brick with 2-3 CD's of lift-off distance...

I would expect it to pop up on eBay starting shortly after that date.
No idea if this mouse ever will come to the West, officially.
Same as we have heard nothing of the MX518 Hero coming to the West either.
Seen some different "leaks" regarding the MX518, I hope they'll go for the 3366 sensor instead of the Hero. It seems highly unlikely that Logitech wouldn't release the 518 in Europe/west.
Yeah, hero sensor ain't good, especially when playing on glass or a hard pad, every spec of dirt or dust will make it spin-out for a second or two whereas the 3366 keeps running even if you just ate a sandwich on top of your mouse pad.
