I ordered one of these from overseas. It's been three weeks and they just shipped it and quoted 2-4 weeks for delivery I likely won't see this thing until March.

I'll do a mini concise review for ESR attentionspanne folks.

The goods:

- PAW-3389 sensor does a great job in tracking and accuracy. It's particulary solid @ 400DPI @ 500hz
- Mousefeet are perfect. Glide really well and silent on my icemat. Bit grippy compared to Steelpad IME 3.0 teflon skates on cloth though (QcK Heavy) but nothing out of the ordinary
- Great software, literally how a piece of gaming software should be. Everything is easily accessible, not bloated, boots up fast. Isn't a 100's MB package like Logitech.
- LOD, surface tuning, RGB, Anglesnapping, Report rate adjustment
- Side buttons are now covered with rubber and are not lose. They feel great and have no pre or post travel
- Shape (untouched) need I say more?
- Perfectly centered weight
- RGB tail light looks sleek and classy


So-so:

- Matte coating is sexy looking and feels awesome and grippy in hands when you break a lil' bit of sweat but with dry hands it does feel less grippy compared to the original 3.0 shiny finish. Which in my opinion is still superior
- Rubber side-grips same thing as beforementioned. It feels like the 'faux' 3.0 that went on ali-express. Still decent if minor amount of sweat but they cheaped out on the coating tbh
- Braided cable. For me it's a plus since it causes less friction with icemat compared to unbraided rubberized but I can see the stiff cable breaking really quick and get in the way if not properly managed
- Scrollwheel; eventhough improved compared to original (more solid, accentuated steps), it still happened once or twice during a 4 hour session of gaming that it toggled randomly. Probably because it was on the verge of making a step
- Mouse 1 & 2 and sidebuttons feel great and give good feedback. Not the most sophisticated of switches like G303 or G Pro W though so it's definitely slower in comparison but they feel comfortable.

The bad:
- Weight, coming from a sub 80 gram wireless mouse it instantly hit me how much this mouse feels like a brick, granted, a very comfortable brick. It's ergo shape targeted at people with medium to large hands making it fatigueing when playing for hours on, but it won't give me cramps and joint pains like the G Pro Wireless, which I parked aside for this one. The wireless competitor has more snappy buttons, the freedom of wireless tech and lighter weight, so it might have this mouse beat in terms of raw performance.
- No DPI switch button. I think this mouse performs exceptionally @ 400 DPI, way better than 800dpi. Unfortunately it's quite a pain in the butt to change to a higher DPI when back in desktop or playing aRPG's.



All in all, great successor of a legendary mouse. The shape makes it an extention of my arm and makes me feel at home instantly without the need to adjust (400 dpi/500hz). It's not the highest tier of gaming mouse and probably gets beat by lots of contemporary designs but for the niche it's something we've been waiting for a long time and it delivers.

Bought for around 60 dollars sans shipping off of x-raypad.com which is a steal.

which mouse do u think tracks better on the icemat? are there any benchmarks or did u do any tests like SRAV or positive accel tests for either on the pad? i know that for years most of the new sensors had all different kinds of trouble with the icemat, like they neglected to tweak the sensors on the pad or didnt even consider their existence anymore. especially stuf like variance in perfect control speeds to positive accel

i also find it hard to believe a wireless mouse has no inconsistencies in tracking, with or without an icemat. has anyone done any real testing on the mouse extensively to see if its 100% accurate and reliable at different battery levels (i mean if i needed to, i would keep mines charged always at a high level to maintain 100% accuracy, just to be able to use a non-garbage wireless mouse with 100℅ accuracy at all times, but thats not how these companies think), at different room temperatures around different electronics, even elevations humidity lol etc.?

and especially on the icemat =)

i also think at this point i might worry about my health if such a type of signal/thing existed lol. dont want hand cancer or anything and all the sudden cant play quake anymore. i mean my mouse wires have never made me feel like they made me need to stop using mice or that they broke anything. especially the lighter better made wires; most alredy dont feel like theyre there. realistically having the signal intentionally interrupted can also become a concern too (like cheating wise at tournaments). just seems like all the things we could worry about and prioritize ina mouse, especially in todays mice (like shape and side button issues), wireless is really not as important

in the end im still rooting for such an honest attempt. but the fact that the mouse still insists on having side buttons, and not having any alternatives for one without any, also makes me think that its not really so "honest" either q=}

3366 and 3389 work great on the icemat. I haven't done extensive testing like what you're mentioning but I was generally happy with how both sensors performed on the icemat. Didn't feel any inconsistency using either. Best sensor in combination w/ Icemat is still MLT04 in my opinion.

Hero 3360 (the new logi one) might spin-out if there are some dust particles on an icemat, but this generally happened once every day or 2nd day. Keeping the pad clean does the trick. Generally performs the same as the 3366.

G Pro Wireless is more consistent and accurate with cable inserted but the difference is neglicable for 99% of the folks. I would still advice against using 'lightspeed' technology if you're in pursuit of the highest tiers of gaming or if you're concerned about hitting the maximum amount of accuracy in w/e game you're playing. As for battery levels I'd say keep it between 70 and 100% as I've noticed more jittering and delay going below (probably not noticable for most folks).

Disclaimer b4 logi / wireless fanboys try to roast me: Lightspeed and wireless tech is fine and up to par to high standards of competitive gaming.

Is it as consistant and 'direct' as with a cable: No
Does it meet requirements to game on a (very) high level: yes, but only because the wireless freedom might outweigh the 'slight' delay it adds ontop of your input. 99% of people won't notice the difference. But if you're a 50+ lg player and go for a lot of flickshots then yes, you will hit more consistently with the cable inserted.

In the end you must decide for yourself what's important to you.

Also G-Rod, you're overthinking stuff. Just get a mouse that has a decent sensor, a shape that fits your hand and playstyle and feels comfy. The rest gets decided by your skill.
