I got bored just after the mission to upgrade the defib!

ya i finally got out of wellspring and i am not motivated to keep playing ._.

I had alot of patience for this game, but it also tested my resolve. I am finishing it on Nightmare atm, and it is a blast with more NME's. I would like an Extreme Nightmare, cus it is too easy still. I have 57% acc which shows how easy it is..

After Wellsprings it is Subway Town - 1st time around I didn't do any of the Subway Towns driving missions and still was able to complete it.

The Enforcers do get more difficult to kill, but when you get the BFG semi Automatic pulse cannon, now thats a lot of fun.

Wingsticks and SG, handgun with Fatboys and Zoom, plus Sniper Rifle, plus AMG is what I mainly used.

I think the game is a beautiful creation and very clever withthe graphics. But it is very bitty! Not enough clues to things. Need a TOTAL breakdown of what you can do, and what you need to do. Then be able to able to jump to them. An option of HINTS on would be good, to show which direction to go in, and what objects are available. Like a bfo Arrow. In Quake 1 it was cool because it was obvious when there was a secret, like a big RED Star or a Crackling Light, but inthis it is V Difficult for someone who has not got as much time on their hands to explore every corner...... Some of the maps are confusing as fuck, ike the wasted garage.

At the end of the game, you can't go back and try to complete parts of it, which was painful.

The cards for example, you can't do some of them again, unless you have a save from earlier. Thats a pain.

I have not tried the Road Mulitplayer yet, but have done the Co-Op ones. Just need some more Co-Operative missions, and expand that from 2 player Co-op to 4v4 or something, I think this would make more Quakers play it tbh.. It has great potential, and it would defo be better than CS if it was converted to something like that with missions in Multiplayer mode. Better movement for a start and the Sniper rifle actually hits what it is aiming at.

But at the end of the day "id" want money so I can't see that this would be a priority, but I'd love to be wrong.

just another typical id game. They only release games to show off their engines/graphics/etc. Every id game released of late has been incomplete. I sold the game to a friend a couple days ago, it gets old very fast for the reasons you stated. Was pretty dissapointed with the graphics, they certainly didn't live up to the hype.

Felt like it was a single player game of warcraft with cars, guns and not wearing a dress!

Two trophies I was missing, "collect all the cards" and get "100% competion". So I thought, what they heck i'll go back and get them so its all done. Unforunatelhy when I got the 54th card, it said "sorry you have enabled console and will not receive award"........ FUCK ME! Wish it had said that 12 hours ago ffs.

Anyone know how to get around this other than do it again, cus thats just not going to happen!! It was painful enough doing it.

So i went and dissabled console, went back to a prev save and still the same. What a waste of time.

In Quake it was kill all enemies and find secrets, that was enough for me tbh..

I wonder why someone would start a game on anything else but hard or nightmare? If you are making it easier for yourself, the game will feel shorter, which means less value for your money and probably also less fun.

Normal, Hard and Nightmare, are not as they used to be. Nightmare level on this version, was not a nightmare, more like normal. But who can tell when it starts to what level they mark these at.

That 0.2% woyuld have been higher if they had not robbed me of my awards becuase the console had been unlocked. What a pathetic piece of shit. I got other awards while the console was open. /still fuming.

I rarely play SP games on the highest difficulty tbh, I often just prefer to play them in a relaxing way and look for a challenge in mp rather than sp. So I can understand why so many people played it on normal, buuuuuut nightmare was so easy on this.
"normal" difficulty is usually what I choose unless it's really far too easy like is the case in Rage. Feeling like playing in godmode (usually) gets old fast :)

I only play on easy when I don't like the overall game (or just the gameplay) that much but still want to finish it. But I did like the gameplay of Rage a lot (well, not the driving part) so I had to push the difficulty as high as I could. Not high enough, but I felt that without the defibrilator and bandages it would have been a hell lot better already. Maybe a slower health regen too (or no regen at all)

yea, sometimes i pick normal on games I don't know or don't really care, but on fps games and especially on RAGE?:)

About the 1.6%: don't forget that's only for the PC version, because ps3 players are not required to link the game to their steam profile.
Also: we don't know if steam adds the achievements to the global stats of those who play the game in offline mode. We know that you have to logged in to get the achievement in your profile, but there is no info about what steam tracks about offline players to include in their global stats. (for example they track your playtime even if you play offline, so it's possible they also update achievement counts on their global list, but we can't be sure)

I always play a game on normal for the first run, so I can get an idea of what the developers considered the standard gameplay. Most games don't get much harder on the "hard" difficulty anymore, so it doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

I think Mass Effect 2 (insanity difficulty) was the closest thing I have played to a "hard" mode in a while, and it really was mostly just time consuming, not difficult.

Am I the only one who despises game walkthroughs and achievement systems?

Console-kids need those, so devs/publishers have no choice but to provide them.

Yeah it has some good movement, some a little much on accelerated stair jumps, but hey it is v good fun.

Just a shame for those who wanted a new Multiplayer experience it didnt have the normal duel tdm ctf ca options..

all this talk about the game being easy then you havent played with challenge cant use one important thing then lets see how ez it will be
