yes i think there was way too many stock q3 maps that were just filler content, if they could make just 10 maps with better design would solve a lot of issues of people not having stuff to play on release. why they couldn't for example make aerowalk and ztn maps from the start, there wasn't any copyright on geometry was there? typical id style bigotry that they think they could design a better map than the entire modding community and then falling on their face again and again.
You're just rubbing salt on the wounds with these threads. I'm sick of reading about how shit Id Software are. Let's move on from this lost decade. See you in DBT.
nice game from the looks of it, but main heroes are kinda kiddy friendly so might get a lot of competition from tf2, need to find a more mature audience maybe? kinda like crysis meets quake or smth, but maps look very good and textures don't make my eyes hurt the way qc does. i think it would be nice like the nadeo storm game with more elaborate maps. main thing i think don't spend too much money on visuals cause remember people have very weak computers worldwide, i still cant get from my gt730, so if you can grab that quake live audience with potato pcs i think many people might switch over.
Well, is not THAT bad, i guess is fine for 5-players FFA but i always find the spawn points pretty useless, for example you have rail in one room and a easy red armor, that whole room have like six spawns and chances for camp that position are high (easy kills) other example would be the rocket launcher, hard to take if other players want it and also is a stupid location for a common weapon. I guess it is a great 1 vs 1 map too.
Anyway, those are my reasons to hate that map (like the one with boucing floors on space, oh my god)
Got me thinking, would be nice for 20th anniversary to have some tournament involving all the vq3 maps, perhaps 4v4 invitational format, for 2 teams, or just good old 8 player FFA. One match on each map, playing them in the same tier order as single player campaign. count up total frags at the end. hella fun.
