Agreed the difference in mechanical skills has been forgoten since qc came along making everything easier to hit. Makes rapha look like goddy tier aim when its really mostly just abc123 aim. Almost always predefined, waited on, and calculated. Not much chance you're gonna miss many shots like that

I'm only an outsider and I'm not in the same realm as these duelers, but from what I observed, it always seemed like nerves got the better of cooller when he played againsy cypher or rapha - mentally cock blocking him whilst Rapha/Cypher never had that against him.

Disagree, he nearly always made the smartest plays, unlimited potential, his problem vs rapha and cypher were always consistency. At such level, mistakes have a high price.

Rapha is the most consistent of the three, Cypher is more consistent than C O O L L E R but less than Rapha.

I miss watching these guys play real quake.

It's no secret, just good timing, like wallhacks level of item timing. Good movement, good positioning, and stack reading. He just values game sense more than the top aimers. Probably a few dirty tactics like forced respawn on deaths and kills. Area denial plays a huge part in this playstyle, that and traps. If you remember how good cooller and rapha were on T7 back in the day, it was always fun to watch them take item control back in less than a minute lol

I used to think his problem was his raw aim due to his age. But in QC he has improved his aim a lot. I would even honestly say it's on par with Cypher. I think his problem with QC is the same as Cypher. There are new bloods with better aim e.g. Raisy or who are just more motivated than he is in a new game which requires different skills. I always thought Cooller was the smarter player over Cypher so that explains why he is doing better than him in tournaments so far. And Rapha has improved his aim a lot in QC too but most of his strength come from what made him so good at ql. His brain is still on a different level compared to everyone else.
