There is an pretty amazing built in feature of windows not many people know about called "Driver Verifer.exe"

It puts much stress on system and somehow causes any pending BSOD to occur fast/now so you can investigate. No more waiting 5 hours for the BSOD to re occur and wondering for days is it fixed or will it happen again.

"Driver Verifier monitors Windows kernel-mode drivers and graphics drivers to detect illegal function calls or actions that might corrupt the system. Driver Verifier can subject Windows drivers to a variety of stresses and tests to find improper behavior. You can configure which tests to run, which allows you to put a driver through heavy stress loads or through more streamlined testing. You can also run Driver Verifier on multiple drivers simultaneously, or on one driver at a time."

Never used it on Win10 but for older OS just type verifier.exe. Read some documentation on its operation and use. Dont forget to turn it off later because system runs quite slow when verifier is enabled. Turn it on and if system quickly BSOD then you can read the BSOD code/ filename and logs rather than spending days waiting for the error to occur by itself.

useful if you code your own drivers, otherwise that is part of qualifying for a digital certificate from microsoft

Also useful for quickly trigger bsod that might otherwise take hours/days to occur.

My Battlefield 4 began bsod at random 5-10 hour intervals. I do some fixes but need to wait 10 hours playtime to see if fixed work - verifier.exe make same error occur instantly. Now can test which driver versions are stable in 5 minutes rather than 10 hours.

if your rocking SLI, download 411.66 and install the drivers with 1 card in at a time and DDU them each time, nvidia has finally done a cheap quick fix, to reset the cards bios settings

motherboard might fail to boot with 1 card in at a time, but everything will work after pissing around
