At first i was pushed away by the jolly appearance. But the more i watched it, the more i felt this is like playing quake in the golden times of ql. Pure elimination of the enemies models, clear visuals, fast pace, all the good old-time weapons.

This does look fun and I will probably leave QC for this but we shall see what happens.

I am hoping that maybe, just maybe, your average ESR user will understand that:
• you can play and enjoy multiple games, often overlooking how old/dead/flawed they are, focusing on aspects you do enjoy in them

• if you really don't like a game, there's no award for constantly shitting on it. on the contrary, it reeks of unhealthy obsession and attention seeking.

• you don't need Fortnite numbers for a game not to be dead. as long as there's a few random people/online friends to constantly play with, that game is very much alive. your experience should be the only thing that matters, not some external validation from pros getting big money or dick measuring contests with other communities.

Quake 4 is still the best game in afps genre ever made.

Are you going to qualify this statement at all? Because if you have 300ms ping, good luck hitting anything against someone with 10ms ping. Clearly there are limits and sweet spots with latency that relate to the netcode, player movement speeds, and projectile speeds. But taken as a whole, low ping is definitely an advantage.

We arent talking about 300ms here. Axiom is complaining about sub-100 ms, you know?

German servers are planned, the i3d servers in Frankfurt are out for some unrelated reasons at the moment. Last estimate was 1-2 months.

If it helps, I usually ping around 8 ms to Frankfurt and in Diabotical, around 21 ms to Rotterdam.

ok resolution showed 640x320 but was probably 1920x1600 or smth, set now to 1024x768, much better but still only between 90-120 fps, not 144 fps ... I have GTX1060, i5 3,8 ghz and m2 ssd ... qc runs faster afaik

Smth might be wrong with your pc config or drivers or some shit....I have same pc specs and it's ~50 fps@4K, ~120fps@1080p and almost 250fps@640x480. Agree mouse input does't feel as good as quake, Reflex, but at least it's not as bad as QC
