Quake indeed deserved to advance game/computer graphics again, and it's a really nice eyecandy to spend some time with...... but, looking at the framerates, it also shows that first gen RTX cards are just not cutting it with raytracing, even with old games like Q2.
I love what Nvidia does for gaming and for the pc community. Yes, they are greedy af but still, most of the GPU advancement we had in the last decade happened because of them, (just look at raytraced minecraft, I think it's very impressive from a computer graphics perspective)
I'm looking forward for the next gen Nvidia cards (unless AMD grows some real balls finally, like how they did on the CPU side, but I doubt it).
ps.: I still wish reflex would have native RTX support:/
