Site started to regress more than 10 years ago as a lot of the content creators moved on and arena shooters became less and less popular. Do miss the high quality columns that used to be written on this site, but at the same time most of the people who populated this site in it's prime have moved on.
Would kind of cool if the site stayed open until the end of December 2021. The site was opened in October or November 2001 so a 20 year anniversary would be cool, even if the content produced these days is a fraction of what it was 15 years ago.
don't worry, as soon as next quake title drops (with extra Bugs, they are now certified environmentally friendly), it will be just like the golden days. all the best content creators have just been temporarily absent because they've been raising a family, but we're nearing the point where those kids will be all grown up and won't need constant nappie changes anymore. plenty of free time!!! plenty of quake!!! plenty of content!!!
Hell, i bought a copy of Quake 3 Arena, and flagship nVidia GeForce 2 GTS graphic card twenty years ago
