they're not really going to commit to any of the post-brexit proposals of unilateral free trade with the world or turning britain into "singapore of europe". and if they did, it would be the biggest landslide election for labour party.

I really do not get it. Your sovereignity alone is weaker then by being a part of the EU. You will get worse deals with the rest of the world (the EU included) and thus you will lose sovereignity. Worse deals will lead to inherent necessities. Like for example having to live with lower food standards compared to what the EU is able to enforce. The strong is souvereign. The weak has to eat the rest. You as UK steer yourself in a weak position. I mean you do not even have a deal in place. For example getting a deal with Canade took 7 or 8 years. Not because they are stupid but because that is how long it just takes. UK of course will lose that instantly and having to start all over again.
