yeah, I sure used to be blown away by this one.

Every few years I still go back to some of these old frag and freeform defrag movies.

Used to watch a lot of Quake, UT and CS movies back then. Same audio tracks used over and over :D

Maybe I am out of touch with today's world because I have not seen any non arena style frag movie in a looooooooooooong time. It's not like PUBG, Fortnite or whatever kids play these days have much to offer in regards to skill that translates well to frag movies the way I imagine them

The older fragmovies felt like a lot more love and care were put into them.

Also old rock and metal soundtracks go so well with fps

Also this was before they introduced clan arena in OSP which lead to the downgrade in real men modes like FFA and TDM. RIP OSP, you'll forever be missed.

Deathmatch will always be my favourite game mode.

I wonder how different Quake would have played out if those modes that were seen as noob modes like ffa and non-organized tdm would have survived. in my memory once OSP and ready up style modes became a thing no one in the community ever played those again, but now we are at a point in gaming where battle royale games are huge and games with lots of 'randomness' to make them easier to get into, like ffa and og-tdm used to be
