I don't think you understand how much time and work goes into a record run that requires several other players to sit somewhere for hours and boost you at exactly the right time in a exactly the right direction. What they're doing is definitely impressive, and they don't just play freestyle but post record times, in the spirit of defrag!
So either you don't understand how impressive their work is, or you dislike the editing, in which case I agree! I hate the edits - slow-mo at all the wrong moments, switching between first- and third-person view all the time, this really takes away from showing the actual tricks.
Some of those edits have a purpose (to showcase two boosts by someone who /kills themselves and respawns, or highlight very deep wall clipping), but they still completely cancel the feeling of speed of those runs. And the horrible slow-mo, bleh!
