anyone who's seen them play at length and doesn't find them very suspicious is just mindbogglingly dumb. there are so many cheaters in the NA scene, unfortunately. one thing that people "comparing" NA to EU players seem to forget is that, well, EU players generally have very, very low ping, not to mention the general internet infrastracture is less convoluted, so there's probably going to be fewer hops and less jtiter overall, something that seems to significantly affect the QL netcode.

and I assure you that if CelestiaL or NemesiS played k1llsen or fox, it wouldn't matter how much better k1llsen or fox are. if those two players "wanted" it bad enough, they would win, because they have aimbots.

anecdote: I have been following this CelestiaL joke since he started really cheating in duel. his old account was cOuNtnUtsaCuLa. the first time I played him on that name, I thought he was some "aliasing" fag trying to hustle me, but I won easily. the aim did not feel right, nonetheless. it didn't take long for me to figure it out. subsequent to that, I've probably played him 100 times. he is awful at quake. I've won about 95 out of those 100. I indeed lost a few, but when that happened, I was getting instant hit by rails around corners and caught out with lg that pinned me to the wall no matter what I did. you'll also find it interesting that in cOuNtnUtsaCuLa's first duels, he was beating the shit out of guys like Pheer and erok. I watched him beat erok 38-0 on dm6. he's totally legit, ya.

I've been playing CA a lot with CelestiaL since he made that alias, and most of the time I can match his aim or even outaim him. There are a few players I can't outaim no matter what though for example, wn, cfebns, etc etc

They clearly don't cheat, which makes me think there is no reason celestial cheats. Nemesis only seems suspicious when he plays rail only, but otherwise I see no signs of him cheating...

All nemesis does is +back rail..try it. I bet you can even shoot 30 impressives. It's not too difficult if you have a halfway decent team.

when you have got guys that come out of nowhere and all of a sudden take down good players then it's surprising. Does anyone know who this Celestial guy is? NOt much has been divulged on him since he got on the scene. If he could come on here and give his aliases that would be good cuz he sure as hell didn't just start playing QL 2 years ago. With his identity up in the air, I'm calling him a cheater. Until then that's all he is because some of the stuff he pulls is suspicious. There are several other players that are also cheating and you can tell by their shit movements. As for Nemesis, he does seem suspicious at times, but I've played rail whole game and been able to rack up impressives so I can't really say anything about hm. He was also dominant in Ra3 and I know him from years back so I suspect him less. Some people claim that Nemesis = Celestial so that's interesting. Nemesis also claimed he wanted to start dueling, which Celestial has. Celestial relies more on his lg as opposed to Nemesis' rail so maybe that debunks the notion that they are one and the same. Who knows....lol

I don't think NemesiS is CelestiaL at all. I've played both in duel, and NemesiS isn't any kind of threat. CelestiaL isn't either, usually, but when he toggles enough, he can make it close. of course he cheats. everyone knows that. and most people who aren't absolutely stupid know that NemesiS does.

that guy apparently just dodged a LAN he said he was going to, for the record. he is a CA shitty, and lots of CA shitties have "good aim," because, guess what, CA is really easy to cheat in. all you have to do is hit a few extra shots here and there, and it will be pretty hard to tell what you're doing. you can't just go and rape up duel railing someone with 200/200 5 times every 3 seconds, because that's pretty obvious. and it's not easy to learn positioning and timing so you can gain some semblance of control for yourself. I think CelestiaL is a much smarter and better player than NemesiS overall, because he's managed to somewhat learn how to time, move, and position, although part of that could be because of a wallhack or "multihack." who knows? I think that CelestiaL is more likely to be InstiN or iMiTaTeD. also note how these idiots all have the same exact kind of alternating caps bullshit going on in their names, and they're all Canadian.

oh, and just for the record, I'm sorry, I think demex is a cool guy and I've played him a lot and talked to him a lot and I was on a team with him for some time, but I just don't think he is 100%. he was apparently caught in Q3 as well. it's just sad, really. Now that cOuNtnUtsaCuLa/CelestiaL is easier to spot if you know what to look for. Kid moves about as good as someone that's played the game for a week or two. His pos/timing isn't very good just raw aim that he hides high acc's by spamming lg and rails randomly. He claims he played uft but nobody's heard of him and he admits that he wasn't very good like he is now.

Most players cheat because they are not good and even with a hack they'll never be a top player in whatever mod they are playing. There's more to the game then just having the ability to aim. Teamwork, movement, map control, timing are things a bot can't do for you. So by saying a player isn't botting just based on the fact he isn't very good isn't a good way to judge. Most botters aren't good with or with the cheat they use.

If your talking about Nem just look threw his match history abit and you'll see many games of 60-70rail 50lg 30impressives and so on. If your talking about Celestial he now spams lg a lot to lower his lg acc. Go look threw his old accounts and see the stats he put up in 1v1 I remember one game when he railed 80 vs rey on bloodrun . he's just got better at toggling.

Like I said, Nem is all rail. If he plays all guns then he usually doesn't seem nearly as suspicious.

I never played any of Celestial's other accounts, but I really have never seen anything out of the ordinary from him before playing CA. Never higher than 40 LG, never really higher than 60~ rail.

Please, the skill tier thing really isn't applicable to CA servers. I haven't had a server reject me because my skill was too high or too low since the beginning of QL. The strength of players on any given server vary from very bad to very good, I don't think anyone is minding the difficulty level before they choose a CA server. It's too random and the active servers displayed after you've set your location preferences usually don't allow you the luxury to pick and choose. Of course most of the time it's going to be filled with poor players as they make up for the vast majority.

It takes one or two games to get every single CA server displayed as "lower tier" so there's no way fox would be going for the lowest tier.

wn would be at the top of my list. One of very few people that's actually out on the map and fighting round after round doing major damage. From what I've seen the large majority of so called "good players" are guys with above average aim but they just sit in one spot, peek rail and wait for their team to die so they can hero it.

You must not have played CA in pubs the last 6 months. Gotten really bad after the tiers got locked so people could only join up. All the campers, peek-railers and +back heroes are suddenly on 90% of the servers in highest tier. Premium games are usually decent, but a lot of the times the team will either be slow to get to MP or run away from MP after 2 seconds when they have like 200+ hitpoints left.

Well yeah, servers with <90 skillrating are a bit of a pain to play on.

They should have some kind of penalty for standing still in an area for too long, or like, randomly drawn areas that you need to enter unless you want to lose health. Anything really to make the "wait until the fight is over and clear out the rubble" ;) - players join the fighting.

I play a lot of ca since I like to tinker with settings.

I find it extremely frustrating that 4v4/5v5 ca is so preferred though. It is really just boring and in my opinion it is hard to work on aim/prediction with such chaos going on.

It's like the appeal for these 5v5 players is to play a gametype that has a good degree of randomness in which they have a chance at a reasonable score even if they suck, and if they lose they can always blame the teams. If they die at the beginning of the round they might have a long time until the next one, so lots of time to chat and talk trash. : /

There aren't that many players so it can be tricky getting premium ca going and I am often relegated to pubs. So I try to play a series or two and leave before it fills up but sometimes I start a 2v2 and end up in a 5v5. Most people seem to have some moral objection to callvote teamsize 2 or 3 :-(

problem with 3x3 and 2x2 especially is that when skill is not even, it is one-way game. more players, more even the skill. and even playing 8x8 on dm6 may be fun for a good 20 minutes.

I wouldn't even bother sending that demo in to ID they simple do not care. All the higher ranked CA players already know he's a bot. ID just needs to code a anti cheat and keep it updated. It's against the TOS and since ID pays for the servers in which players play on and are trying to sell prem and pro accounts to players they more then have right to file a cease and desist order on them. Then sue them for damages (lost revenue). It's the same thing WoW does for 3 party hacks that the gold farmers use to exploit the game. I still hold out hope that ID does this one day.

It's not just write hacks for the game it's write and SELL hacks for a game they created. Which if you read the TOS it says something to the affect that the use and sale of 3 party software for quakelive is prohibited. It's the same reason why ID can't go and just take the 3wave maps they don't own and add them. They have to track down the map creator then either get him to sign over the rights to it or buy the map from him. If they were just to take it then they could be sued. quakelive isn't open source.

From my understanding, they own the source code, servers and the infrastructure (etc.). I don't think they own the quakelive "environment".

Not even the same, if they gave quakelive the ability to use the 3wave maps but didn't distribute them would they still be able to be sued? (hint: Q3 can already do this)

For all the bs legal rigmarole that needs to happen for something as simple as adding a map, you'd think something could be done legally about the places that are selling hacks.

Also looking back, I find it disappointing that Evenbalance doesn't have subscriptions to any pay sites for hacks. So they could be up-to-date on any private hacks for games they support.

WoW has shutdown many sites offering bots or gold farming services. However the gold farmers use a private hack that's not open to the public so warden scans the game, browser urls and files for words pertaining "gold" "hacks" "exploit" and other word phrases. Then sends the logs to WoW's GM department and they look into the matter. So pretty much your going to be banned in a few days if you use a hack in wow.

How does that pertain to the makers of the hack in quakelive? Pretty obvious you can get banned for using one.

Again you have coders and sites that sell hacks for games through a subscription based pay to use setup 1mo 2, 3 -6. The hacks very from site to site and the coders often write the bot to work within a set engine so whatever games use that engine its going t work for. So they are making profit from exploiting the game that isn't open source. Quakelive is copyrighted content that's grounds for legal action. From using google there's like 4-5 sites that sell ql hacks. For ID it's just weighing the cost vs the means. If blizzard and various other games can sue the hack creators then I'm pretty sure quakelive can if they choose to.

I've watched stermy play CA on his live stream. He is actually pretty good. However, I don't know for certain if the T4 in Italy is as tough as the North American scene. I've love to see him play on North American servers, but latency would probably be an issue. Anyway, it appears his LG would wreck 9 out of 10 opponents. Very good dodging and overall his positioning was ideal.

for NA its probably Dahang when he played CA a bit he always beat stacked teams by him self. I noticed Dahang isn't just an aimer in CA he makes his teammates better which most CA players don't do.

CooloutAC, what causes you to suspect a player of cheating? I ask because I watched you cause a scene in CA yesterday. This is your accuracy data from the match: 20% LG, 40% RL and 10% RG. Naturally when I see this and you're complaining it reminds me of when Bronze and Silver league players try to argue balance issues in SC2. My point is when somebody is better than you it doesn't mean they're cheating. I don't know if it's the amount of practice you've put in or your equipment but you need to step it up. You should ask to practice with one of those "cheaters" to get better.
