While we're waiting for demos.igmdb.org to get back online, trance.gg is another good place to look for Quake demos and VODs.

I have a bunch of old demos somewhere saved, but they probably all exist hosted somewhere. I would need to check in one by one. I also remember some files were corrupted, they wouldn't run with Seismovision.

I downloaded it, and I'm seeding (albeit very slowly like 1mb/s). What do I do with the files? How do I use them? I downloaded the warc media player but opening the warc files sends me to a website with a bunch of dead url's.

Did you use wget for the URL's?

ouch, no idea, never touched that again after I uploaded all the demos back then. Maybe they are just restructing that site? Or quake demos are white privilege nowadays.

Looks like it is only a temporary issue because of disk space, should be back sooner or later, according to maverick discord. Maverick may upload one by hand if it is a special demo with filename etc.

Well as soon as it comes back backups should be hosted somewhere.
