Finally an OSP tournament. VQ3's speed sucked after they "fixed" the physics.

Indeed, the OSP speed is great, however, we need an update. The netcode is bad by todays standards, you can really feel the lag, it becomes playable at 40ms and below by todays standards, and then the slow mo rocket, im not used to that anymore. The HUDs and crosshairs also look weird in non 4:3 format.

Could someone pay arqon or whoever to develop an OSP update? or at least add a new mode in CPMA that is like "legacy OSP" and has the OSP physics, or at least fixed at the speed you got at maxfps 125fps so we don't have discrepancies between speeds depending on your maxfps (125fps was the standard anyway)

1.32e engine gave us some great improvement and a new netcode.
server is running on that and if you have stable connection (meaning clear and stable) it doesnt matter how high ur ping is (the best player there has 80ms).
You just need to try in real .) theory is known, reality changing..

Also, what about the non-wide graphics? OSP was developed in 4:3 times.

they might still love quake but they look like rookies in terms of other things like organizing, making demos available and sh1t

Bah, OSP at 50 ping feels like molasses. Say what you want about CPMA, but xerpClients is magic and the only way I could hit consistent LG. Literally went from 20 to 35%.

Damn whenever I look at OSP after a long time it shows how faster you moved compared to CPMA VQ3 and QL "fixed physics" era, sucks that fucked up the movement by fixing the physics. Could someone pay the devs to create a "legacy OSP" mode where you get the OSP speed again.
