I won by over 2 minutes (AVG over 6 frags per min and even then with a damp patch where i didn't score any frags for over 60 seconds (avg 6.2ish frags @ 8 mins at the 20 frags point), secondly even if (and that's debatable) the opponents on his server were better than those on mine (cos we all know FFA is filled with pro players right?) it should have been (more than) balanced out with his additonal skill/aim/form so the time is still very valid, particually when you're talking about a world class dueller who 2 weeks later went onto win the European Championships and I had played a few hours over the xmas holidays.

No delusions, just facts.

You also did less damage and actually practiced it

Lol, so because I played a map 60 minutes more than a Russian duel legend, whilst forgetting that I have hardly played more than 60 hours in over the last 5-6 year and he did more damage than me it don't count.

hang around in #hoqleagues chan and get to know some of the div3/4 teams they may need an extra player now and again. Other then that just play some pickups which traditionally suck and waste 1 hour to just get started :o)

You remember me Vo0 (hopefully) as we played a few PK duels prior CPL world tournament..... I played PK constantly when I finished work. Training (playing?) duels to be the best. We met up in MIRC and it was approaching CPL World Tour, which I wanted to enter.......... if I recall correctly, I won most of our duels and you were very supportive in telling me I should attend the CPL World Tours.....

I never did, I did not have the confidence to jump on a plane back then on my own, I was maybe around 19 or 20.. I'm now 41 and often think of them days.. and massively regret why i did not just jump on a plane and travel with the tour and see what happen! Only real regret in my life.only regret in life. Would have loved to be able to look back and say "WoW I was a esport player back in the 00's!".

Like you, I know many players that didn't attend LAN tournaments either lack of confidence or their parents didn't allow them to, many who were extremely talented and probably could have got top spots. I'm very grateful my mom let a 16 yr old kid (me) go to san francisco for wcg2004, and let her fears and over-protection aside. It's a reminder we should let our kids dream and fly big and not protect too much.

Funny enough my last esports tournament I teamed up with Vo0 for Quake.
