Yup, that is a picture of me from two years ago. I think anyone who has seen me since (ie QuakeCon 2002) will tell you I've changed quite a bit. But, you are all welcome to form your own opinions. :)

Being on gtv while Trillian casts a game can get kind of annoying because of the constant inane babble "WHO IS THIS GIRL?" "IS SHE HOT?" "OMG SHE JUST CAME".

Keep it up (former riot?) grrl, and play some Bikini Kill next time you cast, for me.

IMO, the three best Q3 Shoutcasters in the US atm are Wheat, Trillian, and Wiseguy... they all fufill different functions. Wheat is clever and quick-witted, he has an interesting lexicon, Trillian gets really into the games and raises the energy level a huge amount, and Wiseguy's understanding of the game (TDM), and strat analysis is unparalleled (I love it when during pauses he runs down the list of the things that the losing team has to do to get control back). All 3 seem to be adept at doing what, I imagine, is the most difficult thing to do while shoutcasting - which is keep talking while avoiding simply describing what is going on: "And now he's going to the plasma gun. And he spams a few rockets over there by the lightning gun. And now he picks up the plasma gun." (Red_Barchetta syndrome - I love you Red, but you need to work on this aspect).

Since when does it matter what a shoutcaster looks like? I expect them to be competent in their assessment of the action and perhaps entertaining. They can look like utter shit and still be excellent casters. In this case this person does not look like utter shit, although that is immaterial.
