I did mean to write regular journals, that was my general thought when I was adding them. I guess I just got lazy. I'm sure I can spare a few minutes each day to put my thoughts in order.
So what's the beef with partitions? Here's my problem. I was trying to fix one of our servers a couple of months ago, it seemed to have some major hard drive issues. Turned out that it was the motherboard rather than the drive, but I only figured that out after mangling most of the HDDs around my house. One of the HDDs I mangled was an important one and I'd gone and deleted the partition with fdisk before I realised that another drive wasn't going to help the situation. I've been trying to figure out how to fix it ever since. If anyone knows for sure if it's possible to recover the data when a partition is deleted then please let me know. I've been playing around with PartitionMagic all today with no success. I'm tempted to just trash and reformat so that I stop stressing about getting my data back. I usually get over these things.
Have been playing UT2K3 recently, for want of a better game. Apart from the crappy framerate (which may be my PC setup) I'm actually starting to like it. I'm sticking to FFA mainly since that's what I first loved about FPS gaming, and I can get a little practice in for the PCGamer competition later this year. Since I'm getting the hang of the game I've stopped playing on BY and Jolt servers since most players seem to be pretty new, in the end it was a case of going for flawless victories every game. Now someone suggested KPlay as a better server I've been having some awesome games. I've also been playing some pickup games from IRC, although not many seem to get started.
Something else I've noticed is that *everyone* seems to be in a clan now, as if it was a badge of rank, even people that don't play in clan games. It seems a bit weird to me. I guess it let's me express some individuality by not being in a team.
Jees what a boring journal. You'd think I never left the PC. Hold on, I don't ever leave the PC! Ok, I'm not that bad. I'll cover some more interesting topics next time.
If you're curious the image is my own favourite, Ms Dushku, enjoying a cancer stick. It's my current phone wallpaper, to ease the burden of spending so much time making calls. Don't ask me why I love the pic, I just do.
