the M3 and the M5 look decent (95-00), but that's about the extent of it. BMW has some decent engineering and features in their cars, but if you like BMW, you're a trool. they're insanely overpriced and, thusly, marketed at young pretty boys who just want to waste their last dime on whatever is 'expensive' because that's cool. more money does not a nice car make.

oh, the one time i came back to this lame ass website in a month my journal is bumped, that's very thoughtful of you all. :)

my impressions of the Nissan Skyline have now changed. When writing this journal it was when i'd just saw one that day and it was an awesome expreience. About 2 weeks after writing the journal I'd changed my mind about the car after thinking about all the 'gadgets' that come with this car. Sure the car is advanced and quick, and looks really nice, but I believe a car should be driven in it's purest form. that is, a throttle, brake, clutch, gearbox and steering wheel. None of the driver aids like traction control and other electronic stuff that completely ruins any fun that you could have with a car and that takes away any kind of car control skill - powering out of corners; accelerate from a standing start and has runied the top levels of motorsport( F1). (Of Course it can always be turned off)

I also think a Nissan Skyline is a ricer boys wannabe car and I don't associate with ricer boys or their pathetic 'mods.' They ruin everything.

Unholy, forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm assuming you're male. That car is one ugly thing. They always remind me of VW Beetles. That and the fact that it's a girls car, or a poncy, bisexual, late 20s males car. It's enough for me to squirm or roll my eyes at the driver for thinking they're 'cool' for driving a wannabes car when they cruise pass me in the street.

loud isn't a very good thing on a 6 cylinder unless you mean turbo whine. I'm not particularly keen on small displacement myself as I'm really a fan of detroit muscle and torque. however, I typically only like classics; most stuff today is pretty shitty -- there are really no worthwhile muscle cars here in the US.
oh and Zs aren't particularly fast, they are entry level performance cars, but even a TT (umm, let me clarify.. 300ZX TT, 2 seater to boot) will only run mid-low 14s stock. I'm talking 14.2-14.4. It really depends on the car and, more importantly, the driver, when you get it to the track. But it's no Z28, and it's no 350Z either. I just love the way the thing looks, always have. import parts are often a bitch (an expensive bitch), but I love nissans; I have one myself and I haven't had any problems with parts (yet), and I've had to deal with parts alot considering this is an old (88 model) that had been setting for a couple years.
one thing about the 300ZXs is that you can rest assured, if you find a nice one, it's been well kept. those things are rare and most of them are immacculate, but there are occasional ricer fucking idiots who put wings and ground effects on them and paint them a non-factory color. morons. mostly chicks or bi-curious 20s males though, like you said.
