Great style

Wow....really looking forward to this one.
I allready liked his first movie very much. It was made in the early days but there where nice frags in it (nice combo's, little to much headshots)
If this one combines very nice frags with good editing this could be the best ut2k3 movie around.
Till now all ut2k3 movies lacked the nice editing, effects and overall refinement of some of the great Q3 movies (as just recently shown in 'Annihilation')

deffo some set up frags in it.....
especialy when you see the frags vs noobs on ffa servers.overall well done tho. good movie to show around.

Good:

* The intro. Awesome stuff.
* The frags. Generally great frags.
* When the editing works it looks great. I liked the Badge2 section, although it was heavily inspried by Badge2.

Bad:
* Music been used in other fragmovies (Xploding plastix from XSU gold). Big pet peeve of mine.
* The parts from the Prodigy video. Felt out of place.
* The parts where he really goes crazy with the effects. Yes, we know it is really fun testing all the effects, but when all of them are used with seemingly no system it creates a messy result.

Overall: 7-8. Im going to go with an 8 since when it is good, it is really good. High quality editing and good frags.

Really nice frags and editing abit overboad sometimes tho..

Well first of all assu you make the niceste movies... The first one was to damn nice.... the best movie ever, but still "you got the power" to make a grand movie and some pretty heavy frags so overall if I could vote 11 i would have done that....

Incredible air-rockets and good editing, although some of it is taken from other movies.

Nice editing, good movie, I almost wanted to play ut2003, then i remebered this is just a movie, the actually game blows. :X

Nowhere near as good as some other recent movies. The editing was so so so overdone, and it really took away from what could have been a nice frag movie.

Indeed some really nice frags don't really make an impression due to the overediting. Also i like to hear the ingame sounds as well as the songs so that you get the feeling you are actually in the game.
I must say i'm more of a UT2k3 player than a quaker, but how is it possible that some of the Q3 movie's i've seen got better quality/smoothness graphicswise(?) than ut2k3 movies???
If you take The Badge v. 3, that one is far better than any of the ut movies i've seen.

Maybe they have better fraps-like proggies or something for quake, that actually makes it possible to capture stuff in 1024*768 ?

Blowing up pictures made from Fraps in 640*480 to a fullscreen movie in 1024 + does indeed degrade the quality....

The Badge v3 is 163 megs. Very good compression. 8)

how do you change that display.. like, when you get out the rl, it says "rocket launcher" at the bottom of the screen, but his says like "r0CkeT " or whatever

What a complete ripoff of the badge v2. He should have given them credit and lots of it. Since thats one of the best q3 movies its not surprising that someone would copy it but even using the same music and editing sux.
There are some great airrockets and frags in the vid but specially in the beginning all the video effects stand in the way of really enjoying them. Fortunately, after the clean ripoff bit things relax a little and there are some enjoyable frags.
It says in the readme this is his last video, good. Either be original or give credit where credit is due.

One of the reasons why I gave it only a 2 :f
