That was a pretty nonsensical remark, this match was cessy precisely because of certain features which exist in VQ3 that do not in CPM. Namely the 125 spawns and 7 damage per bullet MG that allow the newly spawned player to immediately charge their opponent and rely purely on aim rather than being forced to play cautiously as in CPM, due to that mod's weakened spawns.

Its amazing how with just a dash of bitterness or a pinch of 'not being able to see a smiley face' you can turn any non related thread into a CPM>OSP, OSP>CS, etc thread. Its simple, effortless and youll be guraunteed satisfying results.

I wasn't asking for a bitch-war nor was i intending to state that CPM is superior to OSP, i was merely pointing out that sonic's statement was incorrect. Suggesting i had some ulterior motive is simply a misinterpretation on your behalf.

Actually, the players are first given the chance to agree upon one map (without being able to toss any), and if they are unable to agree upon a common battleground one is selected, entirely at random, for them.

Yeah, i found that out later after the daler/fox discussion. Apperenlty daler was the only one who knew what youve stated above =)

they played p-t4 last qcon and lexer edged daler out...i know daler has improved ...but i think lexer would have taken him on any other map:)

Na he's right. Qcon rules are more for a for fun tourney than real competition. Seeding is done with FFA games, matches are one mappers where map is picked randomly, etc.

Results of ESWC mean MUCH more than results of qcon.

That is true, ESWC was a much better tournament, with less price money :/
I don't get the random map system, it so fucking sucks. I mean best of 3 maps per match is like the best there is... Why not use it? Man..

yeah qcon's rules blow compared to escw. but what keeps me somewhat interested is qcon can be a place to get revenge for what went down at escw.... ;)
