Well fucking played CXG, big flop and nothing has happened yet. Hope they can at least sort gtv out for the quake3 games and manage to tell us what the IPs are.

That's what I'm talking about. My guess is that most of the admins arrived just in time before the event started (thus not knowing of the monitor issue), while the organizers had been there preparing since way back.

I'd forgotten just how amazing that CPL Europe showing was, that's got to be the hardest fought victory in a tournament ever surely? Slinger, Aim, PELE, Lakerman, Fatality. That was one hell of a lineup 2 years ago.

I think that CPL babbages had the best players ever in their tournament.

CPL Holland was just as good too.

Nicest thing was, it was in Holland, but the prizemoney at that moment, you cant compare that with now.

kinda amazed on the selection aswell, i know that mtw|crush was well interested in being part of the team. i never saw anywhere that all players had to be UK (tho i may of missed something).

There are players in the UK that deserve it just as much. That lineup (exec, stevo, fuzeon) was supposed to be all about TDM,so its kinda funny to seem them competing in such a high profile 1on1 event... I just wish I coulda been there, but I don't have the kinda cash to fly off to Las vegas!

Well Quasar > Exec. I've played Exec and he's a great bloke but he aint THAT good. I can see why Quas would be upset. Getting an opportunity like that and throwing it is kinda lame, but we dont know the circumstances yet, could be illness etc.

How about you actully find out whats happening before you comment.

First i entered this event with fuzeon for the 4 v 4. not the 1 v 1, but seeing as AMD run the event and i was here, i entered the 1 v 1 part because i was around.

The event has been delayed and delayed, shaggy came down with an illness on arrival and spent 3 days in bed, yesterday i came down with the same thing. Even feeling bad we came down yesterday morning @ 9am thinking things were about to start at 10, to be told by 1 admin that it was 12.

So we waited to 12, not seeing a single admin for the whole 2 hours. Finally it hit around 1pm and no one told us anything, we were then told that it would start around 4pm on LCD monitors. So we waited more and more and more.

I went out for a few hours with fuz and stevo, and felt even more ill so made my way back to the venue on my own and to rest for a while, i was then told it was delayed till 8 so i went back and rested and explored the area.

I came back at 10 to 8 to find not 1 ut admin in the building, finally i found a RCTW admin who told me the event had been moved to another casino on the strip. Feeling like crap i made my way to the casnio finally getting there at 8:30 after being sick to see group A playing warmups on pc's. I was told Me, Shaggy, Fuz, Stevo were all grouped into group A (lol) finally to be fixed by and admin and spread into different groups. Finally I was told i was in group b and wouldnt be playing till around 11:30 at night (6:30am uk time) feeling ill and jetlagged i sat down only to feel worse after 30 mins. We asked them to put Group B off to tommorow but they said no, so finally I decided to forfeit my games and goto bed, which i did.

Im still not very well now, feeling better, im not a liar so dont bother with any comments about me being one.

Shaggys playing today and he still looks ill also.

They cancled the CS tournament and now looks like the RCTW, and who knows if the UT2k3 will finish also.

1 Hour ago, fatality walked in, told the admins 'he wanted to play' even tho registration expired 2 days ago, everyone argued that he shouldnt be allowed, so they said now, only to have him come back 15 mins later complaining, then letting him enter into group D.

We had our headphones & my wallet stolen, Stevos pc vandalised, our config cd's smashed into 3 and placed on our desks. Now to find the UT2k3 4 v 4 to be cancled due to lack of signups and be replaced by 2 v 2 which now looks in doubt becasue the 1 v 1 is such a farse.

Quasar & co. your all out to get me and TAG, please just keep your mouths shut and let results do the talking, im fed up with all the flames and stupid comments made towards us because you felt you deserved it, its over and now we will prove that we deserve what we got.

We havent done this for a free holiday, this isnt anything like one, if u realise how much work has been involved in sorting these guys and myself out for the event only to be dissapointed as to what happened.

I haven't seen the demos (I am on vacation and without OSP :/). But often people say 'he didn't play like himself' about a demo, when all that happened was that he was outplayed, was punished for mistakes, had to play catch-up, etc. From all accounts, though, you are a neat-o person with good judgement, so I guess you are right.

I was planning to go in it's early stages. USA players and others told me it would be a biig flop, and it was. :) Besides that, my original sponsor who was going to send me wasn't interested anymore.... and I couldn't be bothered practicing and finding a new sponsor tbh although I had plans. :|

This must be the most gigantic and utter failure of a tournament ever in the history of "professional" gaming.

What a joke to throw away the prizemoney almost at random based on single matches in CS and as it seems to be in RTCW just distribute it among the teams.

If they (CXG) ever recover from this it would be a good reason for an entry in Guiness book of records. As it is now they have an earned a spot there anyway.

Bad coverage is one thing, but to screw up the whole organization of such a well sponsored event cannot be forgiven.

Looking at the few matches that have been played after all, it could've been a really great event, the q3 matches were really exciting and ITG coverage was great as usual.

My thoughts exactly. There is no amount of bad preparation that can be used as an excuse for the cock-up of cancelling $120.000 worth of tournaments...

Personally I think the admins/organizers have a serious lack of responsibility, having players fly in from over the entire world only to have their tournament cancelled.

Fatality owned in this tourney.

First of all , the CS tourney was canceled and all the trips were paid(since he is sponsoring the Ifate team , he get the trips money back , and we all know that Ifate wouldnt have a chance against SK , Team64 , MIBR and etc...)
Then he managed to enter in the UT2k3 tourney and get 5/6 position untrained(what gives him a litle money at least) , proving he is a GREAT FPS player.
And to finish his team won from forsaken(his former team) , getting to his team more 10000 bucks and the attention of all the CS comunity .
