I do respect Maka's opinions, but his arguments don't always have merit on the issues, I would say.

that maka guy, (and stunt aswell) has a patronising and almost childish way of debating whereby he makes bold and overly-simplified arguments, and then trolls the responses flaming anyone who disagrees. Certainly their xenophobia towards europeans and nearly any other nation just shows how naive they are.

Bill Gates actually transfers money to many different foundations and help-centres (or whatever I'm going to call it), or so I've heard.
So he's not just about money.

That's naive of you. Why do you think William H. Gates III has so many buildings named after him, and donates to all of these charities? And why do you think all these rich asses buy so many mansions and never set foot in them? It all depends on how you look at it. In this case, Bill Gates gets support from many organizations, gets his name out, and more importantly for him, gets tax breaks.

at least he spends huge amounts of money an charity and development aids, wether it is to "get his name out" or get tax breaks doesn't matter here

BUT, he DOES spend money on charity.
I bet those on the receiving end care less if it earns him publicity at the same time.

When he dies, he will donate all his money to charity expect leave only one million to his children. Imagine his children's frustration.

Maybe they'll grow up to understand that wealth isn't just everything.

wealth is everything, but yes they certainly have a reason to be proud, although it's easy for us to say.

I'm sure that I would become a little bitter if my billionaire father died and left me only a fraction of his wealth.
But at the same time, I wouldn't miss something that was never mine to spend.
