ScOOp, a tip if you haven't thought of this already. When encoding the video dont do it using Premiere, encode it as uncompressed in Premiere and then encode the uncompressed to divx/xvid using VirtualDub.

For me this has given better image quality.

yeah, the problem wasn't the encoding. the problem was with the footage. if you make it slower than it actually is (like 50%) it starts flickering...

Does any of you remember some movie about WCG 2001, it was from www.allgames.com.ua made by GreenJek (ukraine) or sth. @ the start you saw the guys running with the flags (big applause etc. there was techno style music in it) then there was some Q3 ingame action: starting on pro-q3tourney4 with a slow-motion start of a guy jumping on a pad in the air and the other guy machine-gunning him 100 percent and in the music the MC said 'like this' (in a cool way).
