* pathetic * as i said. esports.pl was built under the permission of esreality creator, sujoy roy. only the table styles are similar, but the whole engine was built totally from the start, by a man who never had any touch with esreality. the articles, columns and news posts there are totally independent from esreality. and that's just the prove that you're a rude, pathetic ignorant who just feels better flaming

i happen to know a little about how it started,
igor talked to me a few times about design and coding,

of course it was build from scratch, but it was heavily influenced by esr (too much for my liking, which was one of main reasons why i didn't want to participate in this project)

esp has got only some ideas like the [+]s ripped from esr, the rest is totally independent, site policy, sponsors, deals with hardware companies, etc.

the site has almost nothing to do with esr :/
but of course, its easier to be on esr cause the audiance is 10x bigger (international) and who would like to build a good site for his country from the scratch?

it was the comment system, +, layout, fixtures etc (only it was supposed to be a lot better)

And about the money - were you to be paid? Most of the people
'working' on similar sites do it for free (do sujoy, BLUE & co. get any money from esr?).

What did you go away for anyways? To stop wasting your time? I think it would be perfectly possible for you to find a few hours a week (or a month) to write an article or other shit. If you actually were forced to spend ALL of your free time on working on a stupid esports site then yes - you made the correct choice.

btw. esp IS NOT a ripoff. do you even know what ripoff means? Only some part of the design was used according to ESR's look. But the colors, THE PHP AND DATABASE ENGINE, and the whole work put in creation of the site is made independent from esr. that's why saying esp is a ripoff, makes me, igor, kobe and other people that put much time in esp very sad :/

I've been an admin at CB for 3 years, a clan leader for 2, an active ESR poster for 4 months and an avid e-sports enthusiast for the past 4 years. Has it gone to waste? I don't think so. I love e-sports, I love gaming, and if doing what you love is wrong, then the world needs an attitude check.

I don't know if you or me or anyone will ever be able to fully make their living off of e-sports, but I certainly hope that I'll be able to, because the alternatives don't look very attractive.

I might quit some day, but then again, I might not. Who doesn't want to live the dream? I wish you good luck, and I think you'll soon find that you miss your site (which I've never seen, mind you, for obvious reasons).

Yes, imho you are doing/have done smth stupid because esp wasn't ment to be an organization with monthly pay checks for their writers from the beginning. I remember when you wrote for "org", then you switched to esp. You put a lot of time into the org thing and do you concider it a waste of your life? No, I don't think so. You developed new skills, you have evolved. If you're doing stuff that you like, if you have ppl that support your effort by enjoing the things you do then it's never a waste of time. For the time you were an head admin you were one of the most powerful ppl in polish gaming. Why? Because your influence on gamers was one of the biggest. Take a look at gazeta wyborcza. By writing stuff they force the politics to explain their actions or even quit. esports is something like this imho. There is no need for cash for the writers. As long as we have an influence on the gaming scene in poland, as long as we "count" it's worht it. Take a look at the number of visitors and how it was rising during your "reign". You did a lot of good things, great things (for one especialy I'm really greatful) and I think that you should come back. esports is a hobby, it will be for a long time. Concider it as a hobby and you will be fine, do not see it as a job.

If you help a friend of yours with fixing his car do you expect cash for the things you've done and the time you've invested? Do you concider it a waste of time? No, the same thing is in here only on the internet. You invest your time to promote something that could be a big thing in the future, you help you online pals and develope new skills that could eventualy help you in the future. Who knows what the future will bring.
