QuakeCon is a free convention held every year in the Dallas, TX area. Thousands of computer gamers from all over the world make the pilgrimage to play with their friends on a giant gaming network, see the latest cool technology, and compete in a world-cla
I wouldn't say massive but its certainly big. On a scale 1-10 where 10 is the likes of Cooller and Czm i would say that the best female Quakers are around 7 at the moment.
Cooller & Czm would own anyone rated 7 but thats beside the point, the point is that while the gap is big between males and females in high level competitions, its not unsurpassable.
um, you lack perspective imo. not to be arrogant but, i wouldn't consider myself or anyone winning the btourneys etc even a 7 on cooller/czm. the fact that cooller himself was able to compete on such a level at the age of 16 was phenomenal, abnormal for a kid his age even. i guess there's a lack of appreciation for the competition skill/experience of those players for you to make that judgement. either that or you aren't hugely into duel, or have a huge understanding of duel yourself.
trito played a solid game from begining to end, LG seem to be her best weapon. I expected Kornelia to put up more of a fight being an olschool player & all, she just looked out of sorts in this match.
The grenade jump from trito to RA @ 8:30 was cool, don't see that too much, most just rocketjump or plasma climb. =)
Yes of course but some people don't really know left from right. I'm not trying to diss them or anything, much respect and congratulations to them for trying etc. I don't see female players mixing it up with the male players in main event tournaments for a long time. Wake up and smell the flowers.
but thats not cause they couldnt.
its simply because they have other priorities.
im pretty sure none of the female competitors at qcon practiced hardly as much as any guy would for any tourney.
well done therese!
