filename says 2004, but it's idd 2003.
I assume this is group stage 1?
cool that you have this demo, usually I have all ESWC demos, but I didn't have this one. tx
ps: do you perhaps have the games for 3de place between fazz & lexer?
I'm pretty sure the CPL brought in the "no quit early" rule just because of Lexer qutting in games wehre he feels he cannot make a comeback, pretty annoying really at a professional level and sad that he's still doing this shit 3 years on.
did you check last ESWC? man, half of the games weren't even finished (little exaggerated, but still... shouldn't be done ).
And the thing is that, in this game, lexer had imo still a chance for coming back (only 7th minute, 9 - 1 for fox).
check the equalizer (1-1) from lexer on dm6. man, what a rail!
and yeah, ESWC2003 was teh best, soooo many great games.
I don't see why players shouldn't be allowed forfeit the game early. Better that then playing on with no effort and having everyone on forums like this crap on about how player xxxx got owned 30 - 5 when the player really gave up around 12 - 5.
I see your point, but at the end of the day, Lexer is a pro player. It's not as if fox was palying someone like me who would just not have a chance in hell of fragging him once. It was lexer, the Russian ledgend, therefore, if Fox was doing that to his opponent then he deserves the recognition for being able to do that. Rememerb we're talking about skilled players here with even matchups, not scrubs off the internet who don't know how to play.
It's a tricky thing.
pro players shouldn't be bothered with some comments on a forum...
You're playing the world champions ffs, the least you can do is try the best you can! I don't think it's THAT hard for 15 min, is it?
