ah yes i think i remember that, it was makaveli's last attempt in q3 i think. lets hops he and some oldschoolers like immortal or maybe even tresh will return for q4. would be so damn cool
He said he was going to play at cxg and thought he could get top10, for whatever reason he didn't attend. He also said how he was contracted to play Doom3 and Quak4 by the GGL but Doom3 was crap and never took off so perhaps he decided to not bother at all or wait for Quake4.
Yeah nothing too thrilling about this demo if you ask me. The entire middle portion of the match consisted of maka hiding. Maybe if you were involved in the event or watched it live on gtv with the shoutcasting and all that it would be exciting, but as a game on its own, it's pretty boring.
The beginning was pretty nice.. as long as mak had control.
However, I didn't see that match before and because of mak's POV + the file-describtion, I expected some kind of comeback (honestly.. loser POV and the describtion just dont match!!!)... but the end was just very disappointing/boring and I really don't think it's one of the most thrilling games at all.
socrates vs. fat on t2 is what I call a thrilling match... the kind of match where you can feel the adrenaline of the gamers, even if you watched it 10 times before.
What a shitty game. Seemed like the only thing makaveli was trying to do was not let z4 run up the score on him. Not to mention the fact it was just a qualifier, and z4 was still kind of a newbie back then. Makaveli's little walking/creeping style was so boring z4 even pushed the action when he didn't need to, which cost him a few times.
All in all, just another testament to crapaveli's gaming abilities, or lack thereof.
Maybe the quals or something. But WCG 2002 finals were socrates, zero4, daler and cha0ticz.
