they stole my bike about 2 years ago... right from the backyard of my house where it was chained secure. now i have to get up 20 minutes earlier to get to work by foot :<

When I lived in SA, my radio kept getting stolen, 4 times all in all.

Top Tip:
Buy cheap radio that looks shit.
Buy 1 x iPod
Buy 1 x iTrip

Broadcast iPod choons onto shit radio. Problem solved.

Oh and remove the iPod when you leave the car :) or hide it in a sneaky place.

On another note, I've been noticing a new craze coming out with the youngsters and their scooters. I've seen quite a few kids with cd-player/speakers strapped to the rear of the scooter or hidden somewhere. They crank up the volume and viola, music while you scoot! To be honest, it sounds wicked, now you can actually hear what someone is listening to when they drive past and not just BOOM BOOM BOOM.

Good on ya! We need more.

Might do the same with my Piaggio Vespa, or not. :P

Well I woke up one day to find my alloys stolen (1000 pound) and my car up on bricks, the interior ripped to pieces and another 1000 pounds worth of audio equipment stolen so I feel for you, but it was my fault, so some dumb reason I decided not to activate the alarm that night and left the stereo in the re. The one and only time I did it I got stung. Oh and this all happened in a well lit carpark less than 30 meteres from a 24hr police station and 10 meteres from my bedroom window, which was open and in a very busy area.

The thing is any decent radio these days has a FACE OFF which allows you to easily take it indoors with you.
It may sound harsh but you only have yourself to blame. I know what it feels like, so I'll lay off the dumb pole jokes for now :)

heh I know a similar situation.

A mate of mine was just a student and had purchased a new car, nothing fancy or too expsensive but it came with a very decent set of alloys. Next morning, it's stripped.
