As the release of q4 gets closer and closer and closer and closer I think it's about time I upgraded as I doubt my current system will play the game (but I am no expert). I aint no computer wiz so I can only really give you the basics; I have an amd 3400+ cpu, 1.5gb of RAM and (the only thing that I think will drasticly need replacement) a Radeon 9250 gfx card.
I dont plan on spending more than £100 quid, so I guess I'm looking for the best £100 gfx card out there. I read somewhere on here to stay away from ati and go with nvidia? Is this card and good? I need your help people!

It's a superb card (still) and it will be good enough to run Quake 4 at a competitve level in Multiplayer and Singleplayer.
I just upgraded from the 6600 GT. Got a 6800 GT off ebay, works mint.
Yes go with Nvidia.
