I have heard good things about the mx518 and the g5....
My i.e 3.0A manages to stop working now and again due to me mucking about with the polling rate.... Warning i.e 3.0A users :P
The one i got from softpedia that changes hz managed to fuck up my mouse.
So my question to you lot is....
g5 or mx518??
There is questionable build quality for the g5 though.... also the g5 seems to be overpriced in the places i have looked.
Or just get another i.e 3.0A. Trouble is i have looked and can't find the exact silver slimline 5 button one that i have been using. The ones on ebay appear to have chunky forward and back buttons...

Seriously though, I upgraded to the mx518 from the 510 and TBH I felt robbed after paying 50+quid for it. It's gr8 mouse, but not really anything over the 510.
At least the G5 have 500 hz polling rate which will make it feel a LOT smoother than the 518. The whole dpi is just a big numbers game the mouse companies are using. It's teh polling rate which counts, which is why you should go with the G5.
