Has anyone noticed that when you play a demo you take over the players name and clan in multiplayer settings. Nice bug :D

It might have been the demo out of sync, but I could have sworn you did the stair to YA jump in one go?
Is that really possible, if so Q4 obviously has some magic little window of opportunity within the movement.

What kind of fps do you get btw (and system specs)? You seemd to handle yourself pretty well in situations where I had 20fps while watching the demo.

Fox did you really had to "lead" every shot or is the demo just screwed, and was your ping stable?

The lagometer during playback seems to say that his ping _was_ stable =) It looked like a good server.

My motherboard died the same week Q4 was released. =(

Still waiting on ASUS rma to send it back. Hopefully by then the laggy demo issue will be sorted and I can watch some sweet Q4 demos. =)

glad to see q3 pros cant go straight to q4 and own it up! although id say give it about a week of them playing to be so much above the rest of us! :)

Does anyone know how to speed up demos?

Q4 crashed half way through, don't really want to watch it from the beginning again.

'demo_Scale' works almost exactly like q3's timescale, with the benefit that demo_scale 0 ALMOST completely pauses the demo, and doesnt jump ahead through the demo a lot when setting back to 1. the game does become a lot less responsive though, so might want to bind various scales to keys instead of console typing.
