I really enjoyed the movie, its got the best music in any film Ive seen released. The transitions from 1st person to camera suprise you alot of the time, youll be wondering how they could possibly jump that far o_O, their done really well. Outakes were funny, and I think the outro is the coolest Ive ever seen. Great job! [10].

Check Smiley's outro's. Like the one in his first movie Disposable Heroes (tho the credits are horrible).

Well, I think music is a fundamental element of game videos, we don't watch them to watch a game; we watch them to witness the moments of euphoria which are a direct result of a skilled player owning another. The music should act as an amplifier for this task....in this video; the music was completely out of sync with what was going on - and ffs, "the killers” is a pop band whose market demographic is targeted towards teenagers who watch teenage shows such as THE OC… “as you get older “ you might learn to appreciate more music, I seriously appreciate how inappropriate this pop song is to the fast-paced game that is UT.

Note: I am no a UT supporter, and Q3> UT :)

oh, and, i agree..i was a bit too harsh with my impulsive voting.....perhaps a "1" was too low...if i could, i'd re-vote it to a 5 :) since the camera work and frags were fine...it's just the music that i thought was wrong....and to me..the music is 50% of a film.

Some people don't like the songs others think its great/"the best".

The songs do fit the video though imo and you should be able to see that even if you don't like them.

The Beatles aren’t analogous to The Killers; please don't even compare them - THE BEATLES LEAD A REVOLUTION in the sphere of music - the killers are a bunch of pop newbs singing for teenage newbies with nothing 'revolutionary' about them. The Beatles initially copied other peoples music, they did not lead nor invent for quite a few years.

I'm not saying The Killers will move on to any such greatness, but everything takes time (note, I am not a "Killers fan" I just think that track is pretty good)

Music taste is a whole other debate - but i agree with you on that Beck and Primal Scream arn't in the same bracket as The Killers.

I just really can't see how slow-paced songs work with a fast-paced FPS games... it just doesn't work for me :(

well this just displays the frags and actions in a different perspective. I just think that it's cool to see something different every now and then, especially when its done in such a nice manner. Now you are not looking like BAMROCKETBAMSPLATSHOCKCOMBO but just in a peaceful way amazed by cool shots of nice action just.
this is just my opinion (ofcourse) but maybe you should open up to new stuff every now and then whether you are ideologically opposed to usage of a teenage band song or not.

also because of ingame sounds it did not even occur to me that there is no frag-music synchronization, so GJ nice movie to the author

I think I posted on own-age that there is a lot of syncing going on, its just not to the typical beats ... some are subtle beats, some are lyrics ... as you have spotted though its not done in the usual way (bang bang frag)

Always nice to see a decent UT movie since there's less of them being created these days. I love the way this movie is based on the teamplay and the clan rather than individual frags.

Okay azazel, this movie really surprised me :) Really REALLY good use of the cams :), really brilliant, didnt think first movie with rypel cam would have used it so good. Also the quality and editing are good, quality is amazing AMAZING :) . The music is so so , i wouldnt pick it as movie music, but this doesnt make it bad. And the worst thing about the movie are the frags, this camming and stuff, well it looks kinda cool, but well, this movie deserved better frags imo :) -And before Acer starts whining, good frags doesnt mean 95% staged frags at deck., just more creative and "dare to kill people in nice ways" frags.. Also I am against removing the frag msg, especially not when it comes to CTF, really hard to see wether u kill someone..
After all, good and surprising job, especially on the cams :)

Even seen frags on bots which have been edited to look real and this is in popular movie(s).

It's more or less a "staged frag playing-style" after you play 10 games in a row vs snakez on deck and davidm2 don't you think ? :D
I'm not saying that you plan exactly how to do the frag but kamikaze missions with any weapon and sometimes you hit a funny one and cap it right ? And screw SB timing and map control because you need a couple frags for the new movie.(NOT directed at you lauwef but a lot do it this way).
I don't mean to whine about frags in fragmovies if it seems like it, but in the old times there was something called dignity of a frag and respect for opponents. Me and klovne were discussing this a few weekends ago, in old times and movies we played to win, often very tight games against superb players (not likes of H2o*Rob and bao^ghoster). And then came a moment where a hit was vital for the outcome of the game, like if you didn't perform excellent under the pressure of the moment you would lose the game or a ton of frags after it. These were the ones we transformed to movies and they were of real and pure skill+dedication(sounds ridiculous).
Now you can play against anyone, and which you don't have a problem of winning against or even players you know play aggressive because you know you'll make at least 1 movie quality frag on them. When I see something like semperphy making a frag on badalhas I will never move a muscle or even be slightly impressed, not matter what it looks like, because I know the facts. Cynic and pathetic, I know it, but that's how it is.

Funny you should say that, in the movie is a frag done by zekkari which has been commented as being "easy" (its the one on november where the frames slide across)

What you don't know is that was 18 mins in vs badct and that frag got us that cap to go from 0-0 to 1-0 and win the game.

its not so much playing for staged frags, but more or less not playing to win, but just for fun. Some look at this as an opportunity to get some funky nice movie shots (myself and alot others) and im afraid if we didnt do this UT movies these days would be alot less entertaining.

if u think the feet > air rocket frags cant be pulled off unless its in a 1on1 playing for fun game, then your wrong since i have a number of them from CTF wars and a few from TDM ones. Personally i hate Davidm2, and acer u know that we've never played that map ever...

those who know me know the only map i enjoy playing in 1on1 for fun is Deck, all others are almost impossible to play 'for fun' on :<

imo:

staged frag: some1 purposely putting on LMS (for oponent to have armor, which = hit them in air with rockets and u spawn with all weapons, saves time and running around), Rocket launcher arena in mods (not the actual mod, but just in mods so u play deck with rockets only :P), shock arena, sniper arena, jumpmatch etc etc etc.
playing a 1on1, 15 mins, ws:on, force respawn: on, and just playing it for the fun of UT isnt a staged frag, just.... a fun game.

and to clarify, im not meaning to offend anyone but theres a short list of people who 'stage frags', bleh (he puts rl jumpmatch on etc) cradz (hes so suicidal in games its insane... :E) and badalhas (says: what are u doing there, come here so we get shots D:)

others i just find play for fun, like me and sempy etc etc ;s

But of course, you are right. Frags in matches where 2 dudes are really of comparable (high) skill, and really trying to beat eachother, are much more worth, then frags from random "fun" games, where ppl just jump around for nothing.
I'd wish we could jump back into time 4 years or so, because, I know I can make them good frags in "real games", like klovne used to do, Where is klovne anyway?
And about airborne.. well since my hd its not going so fast anymore (since i cant capture properly :| )

everyone can say hi opinion..but i must say i liked to watch this move..the music was nice and leet editing were there too..l i think azaze1 done a n1 job and im happy that there are still ut1 movies because the movies are mostly much better then ut2k4 movies..
