What about UT99/2k3/2k4?

Generally wondering what they did. Q4 is probably needing a big update a lot quicker though.

Things where a lot different in 1999, online FPS gaming was still in its infancy and q3 did not have much competition.

A better comparison would be UT2004, but I know nothing of that community.

I'm sick of people bitching that Raven doesn't care about the Q4 players, and how Q3 had better support straight from the start and wa wa wa bitch whine moan.
With the 2 small patches already out, the big patch coming early '06 and the Xmas-mappack we got recently Q4 support seems to be even better than Q3's.

and youre forgeting the many pointreleases not needed thanks to q3test, so not a valid comparision

They should make a q4 public test before the final version came out... than not only fatal1ty could play it 14 hours a day before the official release!

You know what I consider funny? q3pr 1.16 added auto-downloading, but oh noes Q4 is teh suck and Q3 was perfect from the start. Blah.

Yea, you'd expect such a basic yet important feature to be in there on release . . .

But . . .people do keep going on and on about all these problems, which can get tiresome. So im gonna shut up and just *try* and play it without getting to angry, I would suggest other people try and do the same, either that or stop playing the damn game at all if its the awful . . .

I've stopped playing since it's awful but I am just one man (albeit one with fabulous hair).
