Funny enough I found this to be the first interesting Galang demo. And finally somebody is using the Nailgun more than just once.

You must have missed the Fox vs cl0ck game on Galang from CPL winter where cl0ck just about only used the nailgun. Sadly Fox didn't seem to mind taking a bit of damage from it and just shafted/railed cl0ck to death every time.

So what is up with the nailgun? Is it any good other than if you catch your opponent off guard in a corner or for defensive spam? And if its no good wtf is up with cl0ck. I know he's not a particularly bright fellow, but still its strange that he uses it so much. FYI, I dont duel myself, but I love watching demos.

Well it is powerful in the situations you said (And to spam at people chasing as 1 hit = 30hp). cl0ck said to djwheat the day after the fox game that he is normally a "monster" with it. I don't know why he thinks that and it is clearly not a very good strategy.

That said the weapon is still an utter joke and in TDM is way more powerful

he even used it at mid-long range several times where i was going "why the fuck isn't he railing there?"... it really is a shit strategy to use that weapon so much...

uhh, if he used the nailgun at long range it was for splash spam. why would he use the rail when he can't see the guy?

I don't know what you're talking about, he clearly showed that he was a monster with the nailgun in this demo. he took chaoticz from 100 to 0 several times in a fraction of a second.

I didn't watch this demo just commenting on what he said at quakecon.

I never had a non-working demo in q4 so far.

Pretty good game.. I was lucky & got no lag with my demo.

cl0ck seem to use the surprise tactic alot by waiting around corners for chaoticz & then jumping on him. It seemed to work for awile but cha0 picked up on it & adjusted nicely by anticipating this when things looked too easy.

cl0ck should of went for more item control as his RG, LG & NG seem to be on. Cha0 played a much better all around game & stayed steady even when cl0ck was nailing him with some nice shots.

lost fleet demo is also impressive to watch
