Happened to 2/3 mx510s we have.

now you have to get used to a new mouse and you will suck forever

yeah, i've just had the mx500 two times, the mx510 two times and the 518 before this one x(

Happened to 2 mx510's in a row except it was a combination of both mouse buttons.
Just keep your proof of purchase/box and take them back when thye screw up. That's the best way for Logitech to get the message.

G5 sucks, simple as, I got a 518 instead.

it was better than my 518 the first 4months..

My G5 didn't last that long. Had nothing but problems with it and it freaks out so much more often than the 518.

having your usb rate too high can do this.

My G5 had some issues the first two weeks, with mouse1 sometimes getting stuck down, but it has worked as a charm for months now.
