Well which did you prefer watching!? I love defrag movies too but let's be honest, dorftrottel has pretty much everything! :P

I prefer frag movies. doftrottel is indeed great movie, but I have to rewatch whole list to pick my top1.

So personally i find it weird that people are voting cpm movies up above a proper pro player following quake movie, suppose must be a lot of cpm players on the site.

Just rewatched them, IP2 was beyond awful so i am at a loss as to how people are voting for it. Last cpm movie i enjoyed and have watched multiple times and keep in my archive is cpma done by vo0.

Not sure if dort isnt worse than IP2, the music is beyond bad and the constant back and forth camera to 'sync' with the music is just awful to watch. Movie doesnt flow at all.

Maybe because people care about the actual frags and not that it says "you fragged spartie" after a midair shaft kill on LAN? Oh I am sorry, you're right - those frags are soooooo impressive.

They flowed well, music and the pace, the commentary was nice...and yes, seeing frags done on pro level players is more impressive than random cpma frags to me where shit feels like it homes in on people.

Yes i used to play cpma myself and actually really enjoyed it, but its not at the same level as the pro quake3 stuff and yes the editing and configs used in for ex the cooller movie, were far more pleasing to the eye than ip2 and dort, the second was almost offensive to try and watch/listen to?

Clearly you are a cpma player or lover so fair enough. If you want to believe that it is as skillful as top quake play then thats fine by me man, each to their own.

On your points there though, the music fit the movie well, it wasnt jarring and the effects/colours werent awful to look at. Also seeing what you call 'collection of lan frags' is to me a lot more impressive seeing as how hard they would have been to pull off, than similar frags done in cpma due to fact its far easier to hit in cpma, not to mention the caliber of opponent is leagues apart.

When you're playing on LAN and you lg someone midair it doesn't matter who the opponent is - that frag is easy, especially for a pro. In cpm tho it does matter as a better opponent will be able to dodge that.

I don't know if you are aware, but video games are video games. This super serious, pro quaker, quake is for the elite nerdbirds who want to do math instead of shooting at eachother bullshit that permeates your post and many others on this site is pretty sad.

I personally thought it was pretty awesome when ahxnanaxasjdykasy flew around in CTF and raped the living fuck out everything with quad and then capped the flag and went on his merry way. I also personally find it odd that you'd give a higher rating to a movie not based on its contents, but rather on the names that are contained with it.

What makes it better than dorftrottel though? The names that are contained with it?

Out of sheer personal preference I didn't like dorftrottel as much because it was more 'artsy'. Very well done, very unique in its own right, but the energy of its pekka 2 was more enjoyable for me. It is still a well made movie though.
