why is it not accepted to quit before the gong sounds in quake?
in RTS it's pretty common.. usually quake games are over way before they time limit hits..

so the past months i've been sort of not playing games because i got occupied with other stuff.
a week or so back i wanted to play some new games so i looked at what was available. since then i've been playing borderlands and torchlight and i must say...
torchlight is a fucking awesome game..... until ....
when i reached like FUCKING LEVEL 31 IN THIS DUNGEON i was like.. how deep is this fucking mine? its ridicolous. and thats not even counting the boss levels (i think). you just keep going down and it gets pretty boring.i was hoping for some outdoor action, maybe there will be later in the game but right now im tired of these caves. also, whats up with the loot? i havnt changed one single item in like 15 levels as an alchemist. i use two guns that have 10% ice damage increased and sick mana regen when hit. so i basicly spam ice bolts until im oom and then i regen with my two pistols until im full again. that way i dont have to pot. the shaft is pretty imba for alchemist. it's like, my imps wont even die when the boss is dead. i seriously rape everything with that shaft, the only reason i dont use it 24/7 is because it doesnt have aoe (it does however hit right through mobs, like railgun). i'm seriously concidering changing to warrior because i all do is summon new imps, put shield on and shoot one or two bolts. the imps are retarded to control in the end because theres no counter how many are alive so to keep them stacked up (i think i can have like 8 now?) i have to re-summon these bitches all over the place. i basicly summon, shield and try to keep the pace of my imps. it gets pretty gay after a while. once every few minutes i get to shoot a few bolts of ice and then keep running after then and re-summon (hopefully i didnt explode the enemy, then i cant summon his corpse). nag nag nag, yes i know. but the further i get in this game the more frustrated i get. i wouldn't recommend using alchemist for someone thats new to the game.. watching gameplay of warrior just makes so much more sense.
oh and by the way, put heal spell on your pet. that fucker goes ballistic on the spell keeping most of your party up.
If you do not already have Warsow 0.5 get it over on warsow.net (maps: gxcs3 and cocaine). Put in the files in %appdata%\warsow 0.5\basewsw or your regular basewsw folder.

The TS-509 PRO is a NAS with a lot of extra features, ranging from web server with PHP/MYSQL to torrent client. I personally think this product is perfect for smaller companies ranging from 2 to 5 people. It's also good if you are a household that needs a lot of data storage... or just like cool toys :)

the teams are two korean teams, HON (unsponsored) and SK Asia.
I made a playlist on youtube for the vods.
i think they were the only two korean teams attending, they faced some of the best teams from eu/us and everyone came up short handed to these amazing gaymersz

Today we're announcing that the deadline of the mapping tournament will be 2nd of January. At that date a poll will be on ESReality where you will be able to vote who you think should win the tournament.
In the days between xmas and new years we will have intensive map testing of the new maps so the mappers can make their final touches.

Hi, so yeah. I've been thinking. One day I might end up with loads of money (say I win the lottery or something similar) and I wouldn't know what to do I figured I'd make a list of things. I will keep adding things to this list and if this website goes down or i stop visit it I'll just move the list elsewhere, but for now this is the place to be.
Here goes.
* ALWAYS and i mean ALWAYS wear suits. Nothing but suits.
* I would buy a sports car of every big car producer.
* I would never ever use the same towel more than once. (this includes washing, i want new towels every day).
* I would never ever use the same underwear more than once. (same rule as above)
* I would go down to 3 work days a week. Tuesday, wednesday and thursday.
* I would always eat heahtly food from my private chef so I don't get ill so often.
* I would visit a spa or a massues (spelling?) at least once a week.
* I would design and let build my own house designed by me. Mostly funny stuff in it, nothing too serious. I could afford it.
* I would buy my own lake and get speedboats so i can wakeboard.
* I would for at least one month a winter visit the alps or aspen to snowboard
* I would let build my own motocross track and i would race it in suits. I would also get the a helmet copied from "The Stig" when i race it.
* I would tour the world with different bands i currently enjoy, not to play or anything, just enjoy their tunes until i get bored. and then move to next.
* I would quit playing computer games as I know it today.
* I would get myself a personal teacher who taught me different stuff im intrested in, such as history of a certain country or economy or whatever i feel like.

I'm link the head admin and server administrator of #cpmpickup.
This is a message to all you mappers out there. We, the admins of #cpmpickup at qnet, are now hosting a mapping tournament to stimulate our lovely scene. The goal is to find at least one new team map for the community to play on a regular basis. The reason we are doing this is because most people in the scene are craving for a new, challenging map to play. The problem is though, as usual, that no one pulls their thumbs out of their ass and get things going.
What's in it for the mapper you might ask?
55 euros! That's right! We have a reward for our mighty winner that will be decided by the public in an open poll. This will be paid out via paypal since that's where the money is at the moment. If you want to receive the money in some other form you pay the transfer fees to banks and whatnot. The prize amount might increase if we receive donations from the public. It might not be much, but at least it's something for your work.
Design-wise we are looking for a challenging map with loads of fun stair jumps and ramps to play with. The map should be flexible, meaning that it would 'work' in more than one game type (CTF/NTF/CTFS). As you may know we like fast caps and highly aggressive games in pickup so a map with good flow is preferred. (We are playing with the idea of the new class "Hooker" in NTF you should also keep in mind that a hook might be used on the map in the future)
Testing will be done in the public, at our pickup servers. The newest version will be uploaded and REQUIRED by the people who play this beta testing of our maps. Basically you will email your latest version of the map to me and nekon and we will upload them within 12 hour and post it in the channel for people to download. We might make a playing schedule to make sure all maps gets played. The deadline will be announced later on as the tournament progresses. If you're new to mapping you might want to start with this guide

Apperently they have quite impressive specs including 50"/s tracking capabilities and able to withstand 20g of force... who knows if this is real specs though :).

So my guild recently disbanded in WoW and i've farmed everything i need outside 25 man raids in both holy and prot gear... so i basicly just sit around ingame doing nothing all day.
i need a new game, there is a few problems though
1) i've got shit isp that gives me about 5-10 secs freezelag every 11 mins. aswell as quite high ping so quake isnt enjoyable..
2) i get bored very easly if its not very competative.
i'm shit as fuck in rts games like dota or w/e so i cant play that.. i bought gta4 the other day but after like 5 hours of play im bored already.
The finals of the xmas 2v2 cup was supposed to be played on the 20th of december but some members failed to show up for the schedueled time. instead the remaining players decided to do some duel showmatches.

I saw 'wild hogs' last night and i realized why going to the cinema sucks. Wild hogs is a funny movie, great actors and some funny jokes, not some movie i'd put on my top5 but still it is good fun.
the bad part about going to the cinema is the pauses, like in between the ads before the movie and the movie itself its a 30 sec break with no sound or picture what so ever, and if you are in an audience with people younger than 20 or so someone will surely have the urgent need to say something or make a sound that others will find funny... this creates alot of irritation on me at least... the part when someone just -has- to say something and not just sit back and relax and wait for the movie to start..
however, you can't stop the human error so the people who work at the cinema has to prevent this with having no sound/picture breaks.. at least some music or something if the projector beam is warming up or whatever its doing, i mean come on, it cant be that hard to entertain people for 30 seconds :)

after a few hours with it (first time ive taking it seriously) i got badly beaten in ffa by 3 easy bots. second time i did 2on2 (all bots easy) and then we won a few games which gives me some time to practise some units etc. im having trouble keeping track of my hero's spells and stuff but i guess that comes with time..

i'm the type that hypes stuff for a few days, and i'm really really in to things when i hype them, for example, a few days ago i got so hyped up on xbox360 so i bought one with two games, spent about 550 euro on it and im already tired of it, currently i'm on a viva la bam spree and i've been watching 2 and a half season non stop. i'm not like this when it comes to people though, i think... this connects with my very high desire to be good at things, i'm probably the worst loser on this planet but i always end up thinking it did good because it's pushing me to perform better.
anyhow, i'm always in to something and my life gets so affected by it i do alot of stupid impulsive stuff that seems very very good at the moment but afterwards they just suck. i'm often ashamed when looking back at my life and seeing the things i've done and accomplished, and i know alot of ppl feel like this because we had a discussion going with a few friends like this and they said they would rather not look back because they felt the same thing..
so you theorylifers like cplains and others, what's your perspective on this, is this something i probably got from growing up? is it very common you think?

We just finished ghosting 25 computers; jesus, i didn't know there could be so many problems with identical computers.
Anyways, it's great here and i really enjoy my stay (even though i only sleep like 3-6 hours per night). We have had so much to do these days since i arrived so there hasn't been much time for me to sleep.
More things coming up aswell, even though i'll leave tomorrow for a few days the eye.female team will come here for a bootcamp just before dreamhack. Hopefully i'll be back to see them play some since i didn't get my tickets to dreamhack even though "some company" promised to sponsor us.. crap..
I have this "praktik" (which basicly means that i work for a short period of time, almost like a school assignment) here for like 3 more weeks and i have a feeling that it'll be more fun over time since we have had so much boring things to do so far.
Well well, i've got some time before opening time to play some WoW!

the game isnt so slow imo, actually it can be faster since the stock maps are more tight than q3 for example.
