I've played Halo:CE since its release on xbox. I bought it on PC when my xbox fried and I've been playing it on PC since 2003. Nearly 11 years have gone by and I'm sad to say I think I like it better on the PC and its painful to hear that the Master Chief Collection will not be released on PC :(

I know a lot of you guys have held on to quake the same way over the past decade and a half (or longer), and seen a shitload of people come and go. this is the same feeling, just a different game. although halo was not my first FPS game, it WAS the first one i got addicted to.

sorry to have to say it but i think i might have to get an xbox just to play with a large player base again :<

DFWC is the most important event in the Quake3 DeFRaG world. Players from around the world will meet again to find out who is really the best. They will have to test their strafing and weapon skills on 8 maps of different difficulty level during 9 weeks. All these maps are new, created specifically for DFWC by the best mappers of our community.

Everyone can challenge himself in one of the two physics – VQ3 (Vanilla Quake 3 – similar to the current competitive Quake Live) or CPM (Challenge ProMode – similar to Quake Live’s PQL).

Ake Vader does it again!

On Wednesday the 29th October there will be a Refragged Rookie Classic Cup for low skilled players to take part in. It will take place during the evening with check-in between 18:30-19:00CET and then the cup is played between 19:00-23:00CET (last cup ended around ~22:00CET). The map pool is the classic DM2, DM4, DM6, Aerowalk and ZTNDM3 where people will battle it out in best-of-three maps series in a single-elimination bracket.

In the last cup we saw

Bolwin prevail, beating

Klice in the final.

Here we go again with an interview of

Kenneth "plazma" Aulie (which was done some time ago, but we were unable to release it sooner due to some busy schedule), the popular Norwegian QuakeLive player and movie-maker, unfortunately eliminated in the first group stage of the 125 FPS October league.

In this interview, we asked plazma about his settings, his carreer, his plans as a player, what he thinks about other modes, etc. As usual, you'll find a link to plazma's config (which is from DHW13).

Here is an extract of the interview:

Esportactu: How would you qualify your gamestyle ? Has it been influenced by other Quake Live players ?

plazma: Stupid, rash, railonly and idiotic. I think it was fazz who said that I could be a really good player, but I have adhd and downssyndrome (It means I am not calm, and I dont think enough. Plus that I'm not very smart. I'm dumb, in fact. :p). I'm not very clever? As far as influences, I don't know. I can't copy what Cypher, rapha and those guys do, but they are fantastic to watch [...].

The 2nd Qualification has ended this Saturday thus concluding the Qualification stage. Good games have been played, with eight players rising up to the occasion and finishing high enough to advance to the Finals.

Alpha 2 version of Warxon and NetRadiant with Warxon support are released.

Alpha 2 comes with small gameplay fixes and adjustments such as improved weapon balance, more consistent knockback calculation, new grenades behavior, added missing sounds and so on.

The community favorite map editor NetRadiant now available with Warxon support. The maps building for Warxon now is as simple and familiar as for Quake3.
