So as even our most optimistic fans are starting to realize, our Kickstarter isn't going to hit its target (barring some very wealthy miracles). This update will be entirely dedicated to explaining why we're not upset and why you shouldn't be either.

Right now, Reflex feels good. We think it feels good, pro-gamers think it feels good, new players think it feels good. We've succeeded in capturing the best parts of the arena shooter genre in a new, lean engine. Unfortunately, this is something that's hard to sell through videos and marketing bullet points.

The best way to get people excited about Reflex has always been to give them a copy to try for themselves. This has always been the approach we'd prefer to take. We want to grow the game alongside the community, we want to watch people's twitch streams, play their maps, download their frag films and jump on their servers to get our asses handed to us.

So to bring that scene together sooner, we're going to be shutting down the Kickstarter, focusing all of our development towards getting the game ready for Early Access. This work has already started -- that's why we've been a bit quiet the last few days. We've got a little bit more time than usual that we'd set aside for the Kickstarter and we're now cramming as much development into that time as we possibly can.

- It runs on Windows and Linux.
- It cuts demos with protocols 68, 73 and 90.
- It fixes the long-standing bug UDT had with flickering grenades and bugged door/lift animations.
- It fixes some long-standing bugs UDT had where some enemies would not have any name and potentially some others.
- The Cut by Chat feature is now supported.

- Input times supplied in the command-line are server times. For protocols 68/73, you can use UDT's chat log to find the times.
- Config string server commands are correctly applied, but no score/time manipulations are applied (which might be needed).

This features finds chat message commands and uses their content and timestamp to generate a list of cut sections for your demo. Sections that overlap will then be merged.
To use it, you first bind a key to a specific chat message, e.g. /bind space "say fragmovie!!!". In UDT_cutter's config file, you then set up a rule to match for "fragmovie!!!". When you process your demo with UDT_cutter, it will automatically find the times your cool frag message bind was used, and make a demo for each (non-overlapping) section.

03 Oct: How to retake control on ztn by Ephemix

Tournament system is Full Double Elimination. Finals stage is played out between 16 player slots. Players placed at top 4 places during CPM Masters 2013 are invited directly to the Finals. 4 players are qualified at 12th and 18th of October for a total of 8 players. The last 4 players are invited after the Qualification ends.

Grand Final (for Qualifications and Finals) is best of 5 series with an advantage of 1 map win for the player raising from the winners' bracket.

Picking rules: The players call heads or tails and use /callvote random 2. The winner of the cointoss picks the first map and the loser decides the second map. Both players cannot pick the same map.
If a tie occurs after the 2 maps, the players make another cointoss. Then the winner decides who starts to remove a map from the remaining maps in the list. Each player drops a map until one map remains to be played.

Any CPMA 1.48 server with standard settings could be used. The ping difference between players should not be higher than 30. If players can't agree on suitable server, it is picked by an admin. Once a player gets ready in-game he accepts the server and its settings as they are.

Regarding the well-noted involvement of zubich in the discussion, his name was never in the pre-announce to begin with. Therefore, zubich is not to be among the Cup admins and he will not take any part in administration of the cup.

Regarding arguable situations: Any arguable situation, if not resolved by the respective players themselves, is to be regulated by admin's decision, or, if he is subjective for the matter, by a collective decision of all the admins available at the moment.

Distribution of the prize pool is as follows (* for the current amount of funds awarded):

1st: 50% of the total (*~$187)
2nd: 25% of the total (*~$93)
3rd: 15% of the total (*~$56)
4th: 10% of the total (*~$37)

Common Rules for 125fps events
- Players participating in 125fps events must record demos of all their games and save them for at least two weeks. The demos must be provided to the admins upon request.
- To participate in 125fps events players must have accumulated at least 3 days of playtime and 300 duels in their quake live account.
- The 125fps administration reserves the right to make a decision based on common sense in some situations, even if the decision contradicts certain rules
