As announced last Sunday during the Fall Season Finals on stream by ddk, we will be hosting a special Christmas event coming Sunday! It will be a 2v2 TDM tournament, but the settings and rules have been decided by you!

The tournament will kick off at 09:00 CDT on Sunday 22 December with a total of 32 teams being able to sign-up. The Round of 32, 16 and quarter finals will be best-of-one, while the rest onwards will be best-of-three. The winning team will walk away with $100, while second place gets $50.

During the show we will also be giving out special prizes to the subscribed users on our Twitch channel - such as Quake Live and FACEIT premium keys, as well as Razer gear!

Update: It seems it will be standard mode 2v2, with mercylimit set to 50. We will announce the maps shortly. We hope to see you on Sunday!

It's time for the third qualifier for the group stage of the warsow Warsow Winter Challenge. Unlike Sunday qualifier, this Wednesday qualifier will start at 14:00 CDT. During these qualifiers players can earn ranking points for the Top12 standings. At the end of the qualifiers, the top twelve players will be seeded into the group stage, to battle it out for their share of the $1,000 prize pool.

Duelmania 1on1 tournament announcement (15 comments)

Earlier today Germany Dopeskillz revealed that a brand new instance of the famous Duelmania 1on1 tournament has just opened up for player registrations. Duelmania dates back as far as 2001 and has seen many champions come and go throughout the years. This time we look forward to see if Norway Rikoll can defend his title he claimed last season or if runner-up Sweden Bps & co. can stop him from plowing through the competition this time. Historical winners can be browsed on the QuakeWorld wiki for a trip down memory lane.

The signups are open during this week and the intention is to start the tournament already next week. Duelmania will as usual feature a double elimination system where the games are battled out on the classic maps DM2, DM4, DM6, Aerowalk and ZTNDM3 in a best of three maps series. More information can be found either on the Duelmania website or in the #Duelmania channel on Quakenet IRC.

From the director of Australia Modus Operandi's Vindication and Truc1dio comes Redemption.

Much like the award nominated Vindication, Redemption details the events of a Grand Final match point round using split screens and team voice recordings to take you right into the game. This time however director Andrew "Demanufacturer" Townsend has produced the movie in 720p HD and included a futuristic soundtrack from acclaimed indie artist Protector 101.

This is turning out to be one of the biggest One Day Duel Competitions in Australian Quake Live History. Australian Favourite Australia FraZe hasn't signed up yet, but his brother, Australia camma, and he's the hot favourite. The last stop before we actually hit winter and go into the holiday season. The FACEIT Fall Season Finale is set for this Sunday, 15 December, starting at 05:00 CDT.

We will be hosting Cypher, top finisher of the season and winner of DreamHack, evil, ash, Cooller, dem0n, kook, Spart1e and twister, who will battle for the total prize of $500.

These eight players are divided into two groups, with all matches played in best-of-three. The top two players will head into a single elimination best-of-five bracket.

All matches will be shown live on FACEIT TV, starting at 05:00 CDT. Your host will be United Kingdom Daniel "ddk" Kapadia, joined by our Australian friend Australia Frazer "FraZe" Hockley.

Just yesterday on the YouTube Creator blog, Google has announced that live streaming will be expanded to all channels.

What makes this interesting is that unlike Twitch.tv, YouTube Live offers quality selection to all channels, plus there's an option of rewinding in the live stream.

Previously the option was only available to channels with high number of followers. Now it's already being rolled out to all verified channels in good standing.

Seems like the ETF (Enemy Territorry Fortress mod) pickup community is arising from the ashes and has released a very entertaining movie.

basearena.org is proud to announce QL NationsCup Winter 2013/2014. Admins have been selected from experienced and respected members of the community.

Signups begin December 15th, 2013. Those desiring a position as captain should register on basearena.org and contact brajente via email explaining the gametype and what nation for which they wish to apply as captain.
We will create your nationsteam and invite you to that team. You will get the captain status from us.

Every team-captain has to be on our irc-channel to be in contact with us.

We will have a fixed schedule for this nationscup, that it won't be delayed to long.
