Finding the best CSGO gambling sites in 2019 is not that easy. CSGO gambling has had a chequered past to say the least, with many sites being shut down and penalised because of illegal activity.

There is clearly a demand among some Counter-Strike lovers to bet on their favourite game but for the sector to be sustainable long-term, CSGO gambling sites must comply with the laws - primarily for the safety and security of esports fans but also for the sake of themselves.

Thunderdome 3 open for signups (7 comments)
Posted by Åke Vader @ 11:19 CST, 15 February 2013 - iMsg
The third season of the Thunderdome tournament now takes signups. Thunderdome is a QuakeWorld duel tournament with divisions which allows players with different skill levels to compete with those of similar skill, while still crowning the king of QuakeWorld in the premier divisions. The skill levels range all the way from the complete rookie who just installed the game to seasoned players who call DM4 their second home. There are both a European and a North American section to cater for optimal conditions regarding latency as opposed to playing on European servers as an American.

The tournament follows double elimination format, which gives you a second chance in the lower bracket should the inevitable happen that the spawns are not on your side at match day. The games will be played on the classic maps DM2, DM4, DM6, Aerowalk and ZTNDM3. Matches are played in best of three maps for all divisions except for the premier division where they battle it out on best of five maps, i.e. more of the good stuff for the audience to enjoy.

Signups are open right now until the 28th of February and then the games will begin on the 4th of March.

Visit the Thunderdome website or the #Thunderdome channel on Quakenet IRC for more information

Interview with Cyril "Cgg" Gantin (35 comments)
Posted by uZu @ 06:41 CST, 15 February 2013 - iMsg
With more than 10,000 maps and thousands of authors, all listed and available at Worldspawn, an archive for Quake 3 Arena content made by and for the community, the Quake III: Defrag mod appears as an exception in the world of FPS.

Coded by France Cyril "Cgg" Gantin and distributed since 2000, the recent release of the latest version of Defrag, is an opportunity for a spotlight on this project and his author.

Note: I tried my best to not betray Cyril's words and meanings and in the same time to provide a not so bad translation; feel free to read the original french interview.

Btw, I'd like to thank Marky for his review (cheers mate ^^), the cool dudes behind q3df.org and worldspawn for their amazing work and all the players and people in the DF universe.

ZOTAC Cup welcomes ShootMania Joust (76 comments)
Posted by Donathan @ 05:32 CST, 15 February 2013 - iMsg
ShootMania just launched the open beta a few days ago and now becomes ZOTAC Cup's newest addition. We are glad to present you the new ZOTAC ShootMania Joust tournament kicking-off on February 24th at 14:00 CET. But a weekly cup is just the beginning. ShootMania also comes along with a Monthly Final as well as a Loyalty Program.

Details
Kick-off: Sunday February, 24th - 14:00 CET
Check-in: one hour before the Cup start
Prize: 100 Euro + ranking points for the monthly final
Mappool: 3Arches, Abbey, Defiance, Kingsway, Prison Break, ProvingGrounds, Rampant

Monthly Final
Gather ranking points to qualify for the monthly final with a prize money pool of 500 Euro in total. The best 8 players with the highest amount of ranking points will be a part of this ultimate showdown and decide who is the very best Joust player out there.

The ranking points are distributed as follows:
- 5 points: cup winner
- 3 points: runner-up
- 2 points: semi-finalist
- 1 point: quarter-finalist

Monthly Final prize money distribution:
- 1st Place: 250 Euro
- 2nd Place: 150 Euro
- 3rd Place: 100 Euro

Loyalty Program
Where usually only the best players have a chance to win prizes, the ZOTAC ShootMania Loyalty Program gives the most loyal participants an equal chance to score. The Loyalty Program truly enhances the rewarding experience of testing your skills in a ZOTAC cup by a whole new level.

Take part in as many ZOTAC ShootMania tournaments as possible from February to the end of July as this will increase your chances greatly.

February – Become familiar
Take part in the first ever ZOTAC ShootMania Cup on February 24th in order to have a chance to win a ZOTAC GTX 650 TI.

March & May & July – Get a ticket for every participation
Every participant gets a ticket for each participation including the previous months. In the end those tickets will put into a lottery wheel and a winner will be drawn.

April & June – Win as many matches as possible
Every won match will count as 1 point. The player with the highest amount of points during all previous tournaments will be the winner of the prize. If more than one player has the same amount of points a raffle will decide.

Tournament System
The ZOTAC ShootMania Joust tournament will be played in a "pool system" with high and low seeds until the quarter finals. Starting with the quarter-finals each round will then be played in a single elimination grid system. Ro16, Quarter- and semifinal held in Best of three mode. The final will be best of five. Maps will be vetoed until the right set of possible maps is found.

During the tournament, the pool system will find the next available opponent automatically for the participant to minimize waiting times between the matches. A limited number of players receive high seeds in order to not eliminate each other before the final rounds. If a high seeded player loses his match, his opponent will inherit his high seed slot.

See you Sundays at 14:00 CET - It’s Time to Play!

ClanBase NC XVI TDM Third MatchWeek (23 comments)
Posted by PerpetualWar @ 01:05 CST, 14 February 2013 - iMsg
Third week brings us several very important games. In Group A, France France meet Poland Poland and in Group B, Denmark Denmark fight against Russia Russia for the first place in the group.

Unfortunately, probably hardest group in the cup, Group C, had least action for now, but Sweden Sweden is looking strong so far. Group D, hopefully, can give us upset in form of Hungary Hungary, but it's yet to be seen.

With most of the wildcards spent, it's expected to see fewer number of delayed matches from now on. Below are matches supposed to be played in this (third) week.
