Quake is Alive hosted by XTC Gaming, South Africa's first Quake Live Duel tournament in a very long time is planning on having all it's final games played today. There are only a few games left and they will be on stream.

South Africa Shase and South Africa Ph4ntom met up in the Winner Bracket Final and Ph4ntom managed to narrowly beat Shase. The Losers bracket final will be between Shase and South Africa Detrony.

There will be some div B games happening too, which has one of ESReality's regulars, South Africa tB0nE, waiting in the grand final for a challenger from the loser bracket.


Update: The Quake is alive tournament was completed yesterday, with ph4ntom predictably winning in the finals. See the VODs.

Psychodelic 2 is a Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy(JA) frag movie created by movie mastah Russia ent.

JA is based on the Q3 engine, strafe jumps and rockets included. Toss in some more weapons, force powers, and lightsabers: you've got JA!

Enjoy the movie!

After quite some time without Quake Live in VERSUS some fans made us rethink the situation and give the game another chance. This time we will not only have one but two gamemodes right from the start. Enjoy some matches in 1v1 or grab your mates and play 4v4 TDM matches with other players through VERSUS.

A show match between Belarus srs/rzr/Cypher vs Russia M5.Cooller will be held at Moscow's TECHLABS CUP RU 2012 Cyberfest on March 18th.

The showdown will be happening on the main stage and feature BO5 series with $1,000 main prize and $500 for the second place.

European Quake League 15 - Signups! (5 comments)

EQL is back with a new season of QuakeWorld TDM! Just as the last season the maps will be TB3 (the best/big 3) with surely some dramatic action during the season. The signups end the 26th of february!

The division system will be tweaked for the upcoming season and you can read the whole story HERE! Also some information about the signups, length of the season etc can be found in the same post, so be sure to check it out!

Other events coming up on the qw-scene:
At the same time as the information about EQL15 signups was released, it was also announced that EQL16 will have the extended pool of maps which was supposed to be in EQL15. Due to EQL:Kenya (custom map league) beeing postponed until the end of EQL15 instead of beeing played before it there was some map issues on which to be chosen.
EQL:Pro will also return later this spring with the hottest of the hot action! The first season was a success and therefor it will be played once a year in the future aswell!

It`s more a case study on aesthetics in quake than a fragmovie.
I focused on architecture and exciting pictures which gives it a really smooth drive. Definitely my most progressive video since i changed my entire editingstyle. This video is an attempt not sure if i will continue going down this road.Also no jokes or "goingnuts" stuff this time next video will be freaky again.

Chile UAC-Labs is a site dedicated to the old school fps like doom and quake, and the recently Quake Live. In this web we have a QLive clan, and today we launch a fragmovie commemorating our first year in the Eternal Arena, named "Año Uno" (Year One)

In this movie we'll show you the both facets of quake live: the first are frags of Duel, ClanArena, CTF, FFA, and the second, a variety of tricks maded by our member ChileStingidor.

Switzerland Memento_Mori: Recently, there have been discussions about how the spawn system computes distances to the spawns, with experiments and clever inputs from the community.

I decided to go on and create a web interface to visualize spawns interactively. Simply move the mouse around the map and see the spawns getting updated in real-time.

UberDemoTools is a program for Windows that allows you to load demos and view game statistics, chat events, obituaries and more... but most importantly, it lets you cut demos!
Just to clarify, I did not make this program, myT did!

Now supports quakelive!

Yo,

me and a friend decided to launch the #findpcw channel.
The idea is to have a chan dedicated for find PCW's. To things esier
I coded a bot that holds a list of requests + changed to topic to show
how many requests per gametype are in that list.

Bot usage,
!help show the help
!list shows the PCW requests
!add starts a survey in PM to get the data for the request
or u may use
!add Clanname, type, division , time
well divsion is from 1 highest to 4 lowest.
tyoe !delete to remove your request.

We hope that helps to get more games goin

well the bot is still work in progress, I want to add
a automatic match deletion after a while or at the next day...
