Thanks to
4Seasons Gaming and
ArchaicMSI, Oceania will be sending it's first sponsored QuakeLive player overseas to
QuakeCon this year in August. Instead of just choosing a player to send over, we have turned the opportunity into a "draft" or "qualifier" to determine once and for all who is the real 2010 Oceanic QuakeLive Dueling Champion.
The tournament will be open to everybody living in
Australia or
New Zealand but there will be only twelve final positions in the competition. Some of the 12 will be hand picked "wildcard" entries by 4Seasons Gaming staff, while the remaining positions will be decided through competitions in the coming weeks.

Format
12 players will be seeded into two groups, seeding will be done by the 4Seasons Gaming Administrative Panel. Top 3 after the resulting group stages will continue into Finals.
6 Month contract with ArchaicMSI which also includes:
* Plane tickets (return) to Dallas, Texas for Quakecon
* Accommodation in Texas, plus some spending money
* An Archaic Jersey
* An Archaic Hoodie
* A SoundBLASTER headset
* An MSI laptop to use for the duration of the event (model TBA)

ArchaicMSI is Australia's premier gaming organization. In 2010 the expansion continues with the first of the professional drafting series. First up, it's Quake. Players from all over Australia and New Zealand will come together to compete in the professional draft, sponsored by 4 Seasons Gaming. Only 12 will qualify for the finals, and only one player will win. The purpose of the draft is to give the winner an esports experience; turn pro and attend the biggest Quake event of the year in Texas, USA!
