Event: ESWC'08
Hej kompis, please start by stating some general information about yourself plus one interesting fact about yourself which the readers may not know...
Hiya, I'm Magnus "fox" Olsson, currently living in Stockholm together with my girlfriend. I play with my headphones on backwards (inverted sound).
How long have the two of you been together?

About 2 years now...3 even.
Any mentioning of marriage/kids yet? =)

What is this, a tabloid? :P
Heh =). Quakecon has recently ended and you finished 5th/6th place in the 1v1 tournament, losing out to eventual runnerup, Zero4. Were you happy with your play and final standing in the tournament?

It was a decent placing considering I came straight from gamegune, before which I trained only q3. I think everyone felt they played crappy cause the monitors were the worst I've ever played on (generic word-processing office monitors). We had QuakeCon-tickets booked before any tournament was announced so it ended up being more of a pleasure trip than for serious competition.
What are your views on QuakeLive as a 1v1 game? Have you tried TDM in it yet? How did you find the CTF at Quakecon?

Well, I definitely think it's superior to Q3 in a few ways. The new spawnsystem was definitely needed. Taking the edge off LG and rail was also necessary. However, I think they should've been more cautious with buffing RL when LG/RG had already been nerfed. I have not tried TDM yet, I'm guessing it'll be just fine :P CTF was sort of fun, though mostly because we (or at least I) performed better than I had expected.
You've been with LowLandLions for about a month now, how are you finding their support thus far?

All good so far. Couldn't be better.
Good to hear. You managed to finish 2nd behind Cypher at ESWC Masters, what did you think of the event as a whole? See any hot French girls?

ESWC was as always, very well run. They put on a spectacular show with an amazing venue and stage, despite it actually being a glorified qualifier. Hat's off to them.
Following this you finished 3rd at GameGune, losing out to Jibo. The event received a lot of praise from viewers but what did you think of the event while there and your performance overall?

The event was indeed nice. The organizers did everything in their power to help and keep everyone happy. You could definitely tell that the spanish quake scene was very happy to have international guests as well, everybody was very friendly. Monitors could've been larger but big portions of CRTs arent easy to come by these days I suppose. I was very disappointed to lose to Jibo but at least they put on a great final.
Do you have any particular plans for preparing for the finals? A bootcamp in the US perhaps?

No particular plans. I'll play some on the huge LAN we Swedes call "The Internet".
Where are you aiming to finish? What do you think is the most likely top 3?

Hoping for the gold of course. Cypher is in there at least..
Is there anyone in particular you think could cause an upset?

Depends on what you people call upset. I certainly wouldnt call it an upset if noctis, czm or nike got top3. There are so many highly skilled players and often the marigins are very small.
