Today there has been a lot of setting up, everything went fine except for some poor guy's hardware which was smoking big time! GG overclockers ;) In reality it was only the monitor that smoked and everyone felt sorry for the guy.

I was running around all redbulled (these drinks are free here) talking to people and trying to play some games too. Today we will have the Q3 WCG prequalifier which is starting as I write this, the first part of the CS double elimination bracket (also WCG), the NGI LAN CS competition as well as Q3 TDM and UT CTF instagib. Later on in the day we will have RTCW.

shuuk UT is here, playing CTF insta. There are only four of them (frag^m, Br3z3l, icho and GitzZz)... and CTF is played by five-men squads. Guess who is playing with their team right beside me? vicious of course! Try to outaim this team :>

Poor vic was left to defend the flag and the opponents can't get through to him. He is bored big time and he is talking to us every now and then. He is also checking showscores often, I don't know if it is because he is so used to timing items or he is just waiting until the game ends. I think he needs a little more action :)

I have visited the press area. Before, I was using vicious' computer to write here. It appears that I am the only one a bit more serious about the coverage or I am a rookie. Everyone here is chit-chatting or drinking coffee.

Sad news for all aSim3tRie fans. esports united is not coming to the LAN, but the captain himself decided to take a night train and show up. A promise is a promise :) Looks like shuuk is going to win the TDM competition easier than they had expected. By the way, they are now playing 4v5 CTF insta because vicious is unavailable.

The Italian UT players have gone to warm themselves up for the WCG qualifier group matches. The systems are 2.8 gigaherz pentiums which is very good. Unfortunately, the main sponsor, Samsung, has demanded the use of their LCD monitors for the WCG matches. Right now the players are doing what they can to get them working as good as possible.

Later on I will try to get a full update with scores from all games (yes, CS too!) and also some interviews. My movie is going to be screened on the giant monitor on Saturday afternoon and I find this quite scary...

Later in the afternoon we had a huge problem with one of the players very angry about the LCD monitors. This is the reason for my not updating the coverage with any news yesterday, I spent a lot of time trying to solve the problem and believe me, it was a tough job.

What else was there of any interest? shuuk played their CTF insta semi final. After it had ended, I came to them and asked: what happened? frag^m whined: they bratwursted! The Germans were not really angry about the loss, they treated the tournament rather lightly.

One nice moment from earlier in the day. Ryo-Saeba lost his first map in his group match. vicious was playing his own WCG game right nex to him and Ricky's eyes were drifting to his friend's monitor all the time. He was destroying his opponent and checking up on his friend, quite funny and impressive also.

After a really hard day we went back home :)

There was a huge problem with one of the top players and the LCD monitors yesterday and I spent all evening trying to help them solve the problem. This is why the update came on Saturday morning
